Scarborough: Don't Blame Obama For Foreign Policy Disasters
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 07/18/2014 8:28:33 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

It was strange. Joe Scarborough had just completed a comprehensive indictment of failed American foreign policy around the globe. But at the very moment when he should have laid those disasters at the feet of the sitting President of the United States, Scarborough came down with a bad case of . . . cold feet.

Scarborough laid out to David Gregory a tour d'horizon of failed American foreign policy from the Middle East, to Iran, to Russia/Ukraine, describing it as "one disaster after another." But perhaps fearful of where the ineluctable logic of his comments was taking him, Scarborough suddenly made nice, saying "of course that is not directed to President Obama." Really? Who's been in the White House for the last six years?

Joe was reminded (again) by his masters at MSNBC it was time to straighten up, or find a new job.

Mika must have taken The Schmoe to the woodshed and given him a good spanking.

> So then the buck stops where when it comes to foreign policy?

C’mon. How can you be so naive.

It’s Bush’s fault.

And then there’s the Koch brothers.

It’s funny how from the 80s to 2009 we were just peachy, even with Bill Clinton and 9/11.

With everything that has happened over the past 30 years being George W. Bush’s fault, why did the Nobel crowd give their “peace prize” to Obama instead of George W. Bush? Everyone agrees that everything that has happened is George Bush’s fault. The Nobel should have gone to Bush, NOT THE KENYAN!

Golly Joe, it could not possibly be little bammy’s fault because we all know Billy-Ray Thibodaux has been controlling foreign policy on his CB radio from his place south of I-10 for years now.

Right?

Even as her hat size shrinks by the day.

Joe is a putz and nobody cares what he thinks. The five people watching are only there to stare at Mika’s boobs.

The Current Occupant of the Oval Orifice gives the term “empty suit” a very bad connotation, and empty suits everywhere are clamoring for this term to no longer be applied to The Won. Zer0 is a good alternative, or “total abnegation” may be even more descriptive.

Impeachment would seem to be a good strategy, except for one thing - it would excite and energize a voter base that has, in a growing degree, become even more lethargic and apathetic than ever before. They know, in their hearts, that The Great Imposter is pretty much an epic fail, but to point this out to the low-information voter is to make him (or her) jump to the immediate defense. Their attitude would be, “Well, so’s yours!” while all the time they would not even be sure who “yours” might be.

But by skillful maneuvering, it may be possible to tease out an articles of impeachment listing, vote on impeachment, and even removal from office against Eric Holder, who clearly has exhibited misfeasance and malfeasance of office, in matters large and small, so the indictment could be pretty wide-ranging.

He would not be the first Attorney General to have faced this sort of storm. Remember John N. Mitchell? It all followed him out of office and into a court of law.

Where I believe there was a conviction....
