Airlines should not fly over countries at war.

You'd think that would be obvious.

“Not that I want to dwell on the horrific deaths, but if more Americans were made to understand that these terrorists are inhumane savages...we wouldn’t be focused on giving them lawyers, Korans, prayers rugs, soccer balls, medical care, and Mirandiziing then.”

I know we do it out of respect (faux for some, real for others), but I think seeing the horrific might put us back on track to respect life. There is something in all of us that responds physically and emotionally to the evil befalling us - we need to let that foment in righteous justice.

How did she lose her clothes?

Uh, when your ripped from a seat that's moving 500 mph and fall 30,000 feet, I would guess that has a tendency to be rough on clothing...

“Not that I want to dwell on the horrific deaths, but if more Americans were made to understand that these terrorists are inhumane savages..”

That’s the problem. Most Americans (Canadians, Europeans, etc.) have NO IDEA the horror of death or war. On a few UK sites pictures of the charred bodies were in the articles. The comments went bananas saying it was “rude”, “in-humane”, and that there was “no reason to show those photos”. Well, in my opinion it’s important EVERYONE see the human devastation this crime has caused. But that’s just my opinion. People have gotten so soft they would have a stroke if they saw a cut that needed stitches. God only knows how they’d react at a real disaster. No guts in most folks today. Very, sad and scary.

“and hints this airliner even might have been used by the Ukrainians as a decoy to draw attention and possible fire away from their cargo plane - since they lost several this week”

Again, this is why the Black Boxes and the CVR are going to be so important.

Why haven’t the US, Ukraine, and Russia released their own radar track data, and voice recordings, yet?

No prop (that is used for airplanes) can maintain thrust at 33k ft...Atmospheric physics. Radar cross-sections for props and jet engines are completely different...wave physics.

I think the AN-26 story is a cover up. You don;t have to be a genious to understand a turbo-prop plane can’t fly at 33,000 ft...so it could have been that Putin was a target.

Sir: Yours is the most logical explanation I have heard so far. I don;t think anyone who runs a SAM battery is targeting an AN-26 at 33,000 feet. I worked woth the Ukranian and Russian military and they’re not that dumb.

Airbus A400M lists a service ceiling of 37,000 ft.

C130 Hercules lists a service ceiling of 33,000 ft.

The Embraer and Short (Super) Tucano lists a service ceiling of 34,000 to 35,000 ft.

The Beech Super King Air service ceiling is 35,000 ft.

Piper Cheyenne almost makes 36,000 ft.

Those must not be prop airplanes. Because No prop (that is used for airplanes) can maintain thrust at 33k ft.

"....I don't know how Malaysian Airlines can survive. This was nothing to do with them......"

The blame is LARGELY theirs. To route flights through areas of armed conflict where anti-air missiles are KNOWN to have been used, simply to save fuel (money), is borderline criminal.

I heard the flights crossed somewhere around Warsaw. Somewhere around 1500 KM from where the plane went down.

they would also need early warning radar data and communications from much further out (ATC? military radars?) that this flight was enroute

aiming shooting and firing these SAMs is not a spur of the moment action

The world record, apparently ... and perhaps the only open cockpit biplane with a pilot in a spacesuit.

I suggest you retake that physics class....and pay attention this time. Your statement is grossly in error.

I was visiting a friend's business by Mather AFB. and the T38s were screaming by and I said they're on the way to Russia, there was nervous laughter.

I pretty much agree with everything you say, it will be brutal, will it go nuclear? Well we have Pakistan nukes, possible North Korea nukes and possible Iranian nukes and who knows what the breakaway Russian countries got their hands on.

Things will get bad quickly. But rest assured O is going to issue a stern warning after his fund raiser and giggling like a girl.
