Gov. Rick Perry Says Texas May Soon Take Steps to Secure the Border — With or Without the Feds
TheBlaze ^ | 7/17/2014 | Erica Ritz

Texas Governor Rick Perry (R) has been begging the federal government for years to secure America’s southern border. Now, as America faces what some are calling an “invasion” of illegal aliens, Perry said the time may come that Texas is forced to secure its roughly 1,200 mile border with Mexico with or without the federal government’s help.

“We’ve been able to shut down illegal activities in certain sectors with our different operations that we’ve had,” Perry said on The Glenn Beck Program Thursday. “But I think there’s a point in time where you say, ‘You know what? This 1,200 mile border has to be secured.’ And if there is a people and if there is a place that it can happen, it will be Texas.”

As long as the Gubmit “handles” these illegals through their process, they will keep coming. The way to stop them is to immediately bus them right back several hundred miles inside Mexico and imprison the coyotes. Ike did this with Operation Wetback and it worked like a charm until the dems got control.

The problem has been Perry actually has been trying to follow the Constitution, which clearly delineates Border Security to the Federal Government.

Maybe between the smarty Constitutional lawyers Abbott and Cruz they have found a way, under the Constitution, to take control when the Fed won’t. Otherwise its going to be dare to the Fed to “try and stop us”.

Trey Gowdy came out yesterday and urged the states to just start taking care of business and go around the Federal govt. I have been waiting for this to start happening. Go Rick.

Watch Zero "call out the guard" as military CIC for a mission. At that point, legally, Perry has to refuse the order. Zero would go to court for an order and would win that case at the SCOTUS. He is CIC of the militia. He is OUR President.

What would happen is dependent upon which section of the U.S. Code that Obama cited as his authority to nationalize the Texas National Guard. Title 10 allows him complete authority and Gov. Perry cannot refuse. Title 32 allows him to nationalize only with Gov. Perry's approval.

Title 10 would require BO to put them on full-time, active-duty status paid for by the federal government. So far, he has't been able to get the money he's requested for Border Patrol. I doubt he'd get money to nationalize the Guard.

I agree with turn them around immediately and sent them back. However as you know that
isn’t what is happening as I understand it. Some may be turned away but seems a lot are
being scattered within the USA.

Processing the invaders and turning them loose in the USA to away futher actions aren’t helping.
As you say they need to be turned away, told to fill out an immigration request form, submit
it and wait your turn.

“Gov. Perry says it will be soon and done in a lawful way. “

Talk is cheap Rick! Define “soon.”

The miniscule Texas State Guard, DPS and Texas Rangers report to the Governor, the NATIONAL Guard is funded by Fed and reports to the POTUS unless assigned otherwise. If you have verifiable linkage otherwise, please let us know.

No, the National Guard does not always report to POTUS. When they operate under State Active Duty status, they report to their respective state governor. They ONLY report to the federal military chain of command when they are nationalized under Title 10. When they are nationalized under Title 32, they still report to state governors.

They also are not always funded by the federal government. When a state governor calls out the NG for duty in-state, it is at State expense. Each state must reimburse the federal government for certain expenses. If they are nationalized under Title 10 or 32, they are funded by the feds.

I doubt he'd get money to nationalize the Guard.

An attempt to impeach the prick for "misappropriation of funds" would go just about that far.

Good deal! Secure the border! It’s obvious that Obama is doing just the opposite.

God bless Texas!

I’m sure there is a conversation from the NSA to Jarrett’s office about now and it goes something like this:

N: “Ms. Jarrett there’s something you need to see”
J: “Well what is it?”
N: “You told us to alert you if those FR’pers went too far. Here...

Picture Jarrett as “Momma”:
