This is What Happens to a Disarmed Populace: Starbucks Gun-Free Zone Edition
The Truth About Guns ^ | July 17, 2014 | Robert Farago

Posted on 07/17/2014 12:34:37 PM PDT by Q-ManRN

“Just before 5:30 a.m. Monday, employees of the Starbucks in the 1800 block of W. Broad St. called police about a suspicious man outside the store. According to police, the suspect then ran into the business, and attacked the two employees,” nbc12.com reports. “Both baristas sustained facial injuries, with the suspect kicking an officer who arrived on scene.

Assuming customers waiting for the store to open were observing Starbucks’ CEO Howard Schultz’ request to leave their legally carried guns at home (thank you, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America), knowing that the coffee company doesn’t allow its employees to exercise their natural, civil and Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms, we must conclude that this is what happens to a disarmed populace.

Because this is hardly the first time store employees have been attacked by armed robbers. (Hint: Google “armed robbery starbucks.”) While the company might like to sweep it under the rug, the brutal murder of three D.C. area Starbucks’ employees in 1997 hangs like a shadow over the enterprise’s current “no guns” zeal.

If safety is your highest priority, welcoming legally-armed customers and yes, barristas, is your best bet against criminal predation.

Why can't liberals understand their is a difference between legally armed people and violent criminals? Guns do not cause violence - they stop violence. An armed society is a more civil society.

Liberals want to take guns away from honest, law-abiding non-violent citizens and deliberately and intentionally leave them in the hands of violent criminals.

Liberals cannot understand that cars have accidents but benefits outweigh risks... heck... they cannot even understand that abortion destroys diversity. Liberals want genocide by exclusivity.

Because their minds stopped developing critical thinking skills at about age 12. They are impudent foot-stomping teenagers.

The employees should sue Starbucks and Moms Demand Action for creation of a dangerous work environment that made the attack possible. The employees should have standing since they have permits to carry, but were prohibited by the employer policy that was prompted by the dumbass "moms". Make the settlement large enough to put the "moms" out of business for a long time.

They aren’t interested in intellectual honesty unless it furthers their agenda. Their desire to disarm their political opposition, however, belies critical thinking IMO. They know it will be necessary for us to be disarmed... eventually. They are angry, spiteful, envious, souless, gutless, morally bankrupt, scheming, lying, cheating, manipulating, etc...but they aren’t stupid.

All of that. However, something stopped developing in their minds. A normal person fully developed cannot think that way.

"An armed society is a polite society." Heinlein. This is how one restaurant in Colorado does it:

One more thought, since it is provable, that armed employees and customers prevent crime, the gun-free businesses and institutions should be subject to strict legal liability for injuries suffered to employees, customers or visitors to their facilities. If people are not allowed to protect themselves, these gun-free morons ought to be required to provide that protection and if they do not provide effective protection they ought to be held accountable. They shouldn’t be able to dodge the costs of their own “feel good” reckless policies.
