The number of foreigners who successfully filed asylum claims in the United States almost tripled from 2012 to 2013, up to 30,393.
That’s 10 times the number from 2008, when President Barack Obama was elected, and it is evidence his immigration officials are approving most of the asylum requests from the growing wave of Central American migrants.
If you came illegally to the U.S. seeking asylum in 2013, you had better than a four-in-five chance of successfully filing an asylum claim. That’s up from a three-in-five chance in 2008.
The migrants include mothers with children, and youths who have been brought north by their parents who are living illegally in the United States. Roughly 240,000 migrants — parents, youths and children — are expected to cross the border by the end of September.
The total includes 57,525 unaccompanied youths and children, from October 2013 to June 30, 2014, according to DHS.
Legislators urged more care in granting asylums after the media reported that the father of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and his brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, successfully applied for asylum in 2002.

Except his DOJ sued to have the german family returned to Germany because they were not allowed to home school there.
If they allowed them to come here it would go against their long term goal to make home schooling illegal here.

Right. And I don’t think they’ve done a whole lot to help Miriam Ibrahim come here either - with her US-citizen children and US-citizen husband, for the mere humanitarian purpose of escaping being hung for being/marrying (take your pick; they’re both capital offenses under sharia...) a Christian.
People who want to be able to teach their children or who want to simply be and remain Christian.... need not apply for Obama’s asylum.
The republican house could do something about this. I hold them just as accountable.

Welcome to Canada. We have something in the area of 250,000 refugee claimants each year, and approve something of 85% of them. I am guessing 85% of them are illegitimate claims as we just go on the say so of the claimant.
