I knew this was coming as soon as the word was out that the investigators had not interviewed any of his former unit.
This is just so typical of a pres who HATES his military .. support the deserter and keep in prison the hero Marine.
I hope America can survive the next 2 years .. because from where I sit, they’re going to be brutal.

The guy is a deserter who willingly sought out the muslim terriorists (Haqqanis, I think) and joined with them. He taught them to play badminton and was given a loaded firearm to use with them on a target range.

I said this before, in a few places, but I don’t understand why this man’s tour of duty is not finished. Doesn’t the time he spent as a prisoner of the taliban (whoever) count as time served in the military?
This just has me very confused.
If I’m in the military, and I’ve signed up for, say 3 years and after 2 years I’m captured by the enemy and I’m a POW for 2 years, but I get released by the enemy, do I still owe the military 1 year of service?

Are they shopping for a nice cozy legislative district for him or will he be an SES employee? Deputy junior assistant under secretary for Muslim outreach and coordination under John Kerry sounds about right. Or maybe running the Veterans Employment and Training Service (VETS) at the US Department of Labor?
