I grew up in a 90 % Mexican American neighborhood. . American Born Mexican Americans and legal immigrant Mexican Americans did not get along with the illegals ..they didn't like it...

Well that's the problem (for liberals). Legal immigrants often respect the traditions of being American. Liberals want to chip away at that. They want to make it easy for illegals to be incorporated into America (and vote) because they won't necessarily have that pro-American "problem". Illegals just walk across and don't pay their dues. So many (not all) do not have the respect for our traditions that legal immigrants have
