Just when you think it's safe to go back in the water, Sarah Barracuda comes back to bite.

But now Palin has burst back onto the political stage with a call to impeach President Barack Obama over immigration a double-whammy from a celebrity with a following that's ripe for mobilization...
SNIP
Palin goes on to charge that "because of Obama's purposeful dereliction of duty an untold number of illegal immigrants will kick off their shoes and come on in," summoning the image of strangers streaming into your living room and plopping their bare or stockinged feet on the coffee table before quickly horning in on your job and government benefits. "On behalf of American workers and legal immigrants," Palin writes, "it's time to impeach" Obama.
The Palin prescription is a surefire way to inflame the tea party, but it's no path to the White House. An "autopsy" conducted by the GOP after Mitt Romney's 2012 loss warned that the party will shrink to "core constituencies only" unless it gets behind comprehensive immigration reform and dispels perceptions that it is anti-immigrant. Some Republicans have been working toward such reform for many years. Among the most prominent is Sen. John McCain, the 2008 GOP presidential nominee who picked Palin as his running mate and made her the national figure she is today.
By championing impeachment and linking it directly to immigration, Palin has tossed a few cords of wood onto an already blazing fire. McCain and other Republicans concerned about the future of their party can only hope it subsides, and make sure it doesn't burn down the house while they wait.

the write appears to be firmly stuck in the go along....to get along mode....and thats truly sad
First I’ve heard of Jill Lawrence. Was she somebody?
Obama is still in office,
he flew down to Texas to do a fundraiser
(he didn’t have time for the border though.)
When he is ordered out of the WH I will be impressed.

All I can say is “Burn , baby burn!”
The GOP needs to actually rid itself of self entitled country cluib RINOs and progressives, like McCain. They cannot represent their constituants. The Tea Party view is the view of the people, and Palin is indeed establishing a path to the White House, for herself or another.
Jill, Jill, Jill your Palin envy’s showing.
Hey, Barry had time for game of pool and a beer or two in Colorado. He allegedly turned down an offer of legal CO. Weed though. No word on what his aides were buying though.
LOL
Maybe he sent the Secret Service to the store to score the weed.
She's wrong and this guy proved it.
I don t know about you, but I am impatient with those Republicans who after the last election rushed into print saying, We must broaden the base of our partywhen what they meant was to fuzz up and blur even more the differences between ourselves and our opponents.
It was a feeling that there was not a sufficient difference now between the parties that kept a majority of the voters away from the polls. When have we ever advocated a closed-door policy? Who has ever been barred from participating?
Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?

I’m not sure if Jill Lawrence noticed, but McCain and Romney both lost, and to a completely incompetent opponent. Jill should spend a few years living in Brazil, since that’s what she wants this country to become.
Woof! Woof!
Just damn.
You deserve a good beating for that.
No writer has any credibility when they used the false narrative: “GOP needs to pass Illgeal Alien Amnesty to get the Hispanic vote”...or any variant of that
Palin hit a nerve. I hope she never backs down.
Who performed this "autopsy" because they have it exactly backwards.
Hispanics have never voted GOP, and they never will as long as so many are dependent on government. Bringing more in will only worsen this problem not fix it (obviously).
As mentioned in related threads, I find it suspicious that Palin is not yet on record as trying to get the word out that patriots and former Obama supporters have to do the following to make sure that Obama is removed from office. Patriots have make sure that 2/3 of the post-2014 elections Senate is willing to remove Obama from office if the RINO-controlled House actually decides to impeach Obama. Otherwise, Palin is just politicking imo.
