Beck Doubles Down: 'Conservatives Only Look Like They Just Want Judgment' (Beck talks nonsense!)

Talk radio host Glenn Beck defended his decision to bring meals, soccer balls, and teddy bears to illegal immigrants detained on the southern border during his radio show on Wednesday.

Beck said “conservatives only look like they just want judgment, and the liberals only look at it as mercy. You cannot you cannot have a rule of law if it is nothing but mercy you cannot have justice without mercy.”

He also stated that “all of us have been involved” in creating the crisis on the southern border, for electing pro-open borders candidates, arguing “we put them into Congress, we put them into the Senate and we put them in as the president we have done it for forty years.”

I think I see Beck’s point, and I agree. First off, the children are NOT being deported. I think they should be deported of course, but many (most?) have apparently applied for asylum under laws that permit such. Congress can attempt to repeal those laws, but until such time, it’s legal for these children to come here and apply for asylum. If someone knows differently please correct me.

http://www.uscis.gov/humanitarian/refugees-asylum/asylum

If the children are legally allowed to come here by laws passed by Congress and signed by a president (not President Obama in this case), blame belongs to those politicians. They created this mess by establishing the legal framework that Obama can now exploit. It doesn’t matter if Congress at that time didn’t anticipate a chief executive who would exploit any leeway in the law to destroy America.

What to do with these children who are not going to be deported in the near term because they have a legal right to remain while their asylum requests are heard? This is where mercy comes in. I think we have a moral obligation to
take care of them, i.e. care for their medical needs, feed them, and shelter them.

It infuriates me when President Obama releases these children to relatives in the US, but again, that’s probably legal, too. I confess to not knowing specific procedures for asylum seekers, but I’m willing to bet it’s legal to release them pending their asylum hearings. If someone knows otherwise, please let me know.

Bottom line: We should blame the politicians—especially ones who push amnesty—for creating this mess. They created the conditions that made these children come here and allow them to stay (at least temporarily). Regardless, we have an obligation to humanely treat these children.

I hope they all end up deported BTW. America won’t be America for long if we allow pretty much anyone to come here, (legally) claim asylum, clog the system, and then (illegally) vanish into the population at large.

Give them bus fare and drop them off at the border. Don’t allow them in. Enforce the law, secure the borders or resign!!

Glenn should study the biographies of Mohandas Gandhi. He really does not want to go seriously weird like the Mahatma.

FWIW, Gandhi rose to the rank of sergeant major in the British Army, Royal Indian Regiments during WWI. He furiously suppressed this part of his past during his `peaceful nonviolent’ stage.

My foot. Gandhi went on hunger strikes to frighten the British to doing his will, knowing that if he died there would be horrendous riots with thousands killed.

The Mahatma practiced violent tactics by indirect means.

He sounds stupid, not smart. I don’t trust people like Beck who think they are more compassionate than the rest of us and then tries to guilt us into supporting his position.

He can go to *ell and support these illegal criminals all by himself. I don’t ever want to listen to him again, he is crazy.

I think Beck has a huge fence/wall around his house in Texas. I agree, he should open his home to all these illegal criminals since he is so much more compassionate than the rest of us and shut his damn mouth about what we should do.

Show us Beck just how compassionate you are, invite the to live with you!

Or, better yet, build them a compound and y’all can all live together, happily ever after, until one of them slits you throat!

No chance. I think Beck is wrong b/c his compassion will only cause more millions to make the trek, some of whom will get raped and die. But the fact that he is getting death threats is sick, just sick. People should argue this civilly. If your town is struck by disaster, you’ll be glad that a generous Glenn Beck will send trucks to aid your town! Bob

When he stated: "I have nothing against gay people"...I turned it off with an audible click.

So Beck, it's fine with you if we have disease-ridden child-molesters HARVESTING OUR KIDS!

Glenn Beck does not operate totally free of Mormon control, Mormonism doesn’t operate that way, in Mormonism they can pull his ID, or refuse to renew it, an ID that is required to be reissued annually.

Don't overlook the mormon belief that "According to the so-called "White Horse Prophecy," the U.S. Constitution will be hanging by a thread and a mormon church elder from Zion will ride in on a metaphorical white horse and save it."

Glenn is grandiose enough to see himself as this "savior".

I have been saying that the ID is only good for a year because some sources say that, but it seems that it is really for two years, the same length of time in between re-certification of tithing and temple worthiness.

Not so much a mindless jumble but a poorly articulated plea to yes deport those who are here in violation of our laws but do it in a civil & humane way as opposed to being foaming at the mouth rabid xenophobes .

To put it simply we need to work harder on our presentation of the idea that we are a nation of laws & that these laws exist for a reason & when the govt. decides it wants to be lawless the rights of all people are endangered.
