The numbers for the Affordable Care Act (ACA), despite its good intentions, do not add up. I'm talking about the number of Americans who will actually have health insurance now that the ACA, also known as Obamacare, is in effect, as compared to the number who won't be covered due to cancellations.
We were led to believe that the Affordable Care Act will take care of 47 million uninsured Americans when it comes to their healthcare. According to the 2010 projections by the Centers for Medicine and Medicaid Services (CMS), 14 million Americans will enroll in 2014 in the new Health Insurance Exchanges. That would still leave 33 million Americans uninsured by the end of this year.

Medicaid was very limited.
Each State was different but in general you had to meet requirements for age, pregnancy status, disability status and low extremely low income to receive Medicaid.
What Obamacare tried to do was expand that to basically everyone below a certain income threshold ( a huge increase). But the SCOTUS ruled that States did not have to expand Medicaid (relax eligibility requirements) if they didn’t want to.

We? The dumbaas author of the article needs to speak for himself. Just because he was uninformed, the majority of American were and remain against Obamacare. He and his Dumbocrat buddies own this mess.
I’ve been saying it for years. Sent a detailed analysis to multiple officials and even a few news organizations. No one even bothered with a basic reply.
There were 30-40 million people who were uninsured, most because they didn't want to buy insurance, some because they were unable to get it due to pre-existing conditions.
So rather than fixing that 10-15% of the population who weren't insured, the control freaks in DC needed to destroy the health care system that worked for 85-90% of the population to help the 10-15%, though now it appears that there will be no net increase in the number of people insured, though some of the formerly uninsured with now be insured, and many of the formerly insured have or will lose their insurance. But for the vast majority? The vast majority will simply see their health care costs skyrocket. In my case, my out of pocket expenses will be at least triple over what they cost me last year.

The hubris of liberalism is that it's never the policies that fail, it's that the "right people" aren't in charge... And the new crop of liberals are always the ones who can make it work.

Because Obama is term limited, he can't run for President again, so now liberals are willing to tell the truth about Obamacare.
