The numbers for the Affordable Care Act (ACA), despite its good intentions, do not add up. I'm talking about the number of Americans who will actually have health insurance now that the ACA, also known as Obamacare, is in effect, as compared to the number who won't be covered due to cancellations.
We were led to believe that the Affordable Care Act will take care of 47 million uninsured Americans when it comes to their healthcare. According to the 2010 projections by the Centers for Medicine and Medicaid Services (CMS), 14 million Americans will enroll in 2014 in the new Health Insurance Exchanges. That would still leave 33 million Americans uninsured by the end of this year.

How did this article make it on to HuffPo?
I disagree with the headline. I’m pretty sure 0bamaCare will create more uninsured.
But, but HE promised !
That is the same thing that I was wondering. Is this signaling that even HuffPo is turning on our Illegal Alien and Chief? If so I think that things must be looking much worse for the Dims at the midterms than we have been led to believe.

Nothing to do with healthcare and everything to do with controling the peasants from cradle to early grave.
They’re just a little late to the dance.
It seems that only the Left and Conservatives understood the intent of Obamacare. Oops, neglected to mention the sellouts in the insurance industry.
well DOH!!!
they knew it from the start. it just to grow gov workers and dem voters
“We were led to believe...”
So what are you, who were misled, going to do about it?
I have never understood the advantage of Obamacare. Before, we had Medicare for people who could afford insurance, and Medicaid for those who couldn’t. EVERYONE WAS INSURED. Or, is that true only in my state and some of the others?
Only a fool ever thought that was it’s purpose.
Hey, let’s spend $1 Trillion dollars nationwide to encourage 10-20 million people to buy their own insurance.
Wha?
They could have just paid those 10-20 mil people’s insurance bills for 10 years instead. I would have been wholly against it - but it would have been a better plan.
Because every failure of liberalism is a reason to call for more liberalism.
Of course it will. The penalty for not having insurance is minimal. You can have a preexisting condition and then enroll in Obamacare. You would be a fool to enroll in Obamacare unless your income is low and you get a massive government subsidy.
Actually this is what Obamacare is all about. It is a massive wealth transfer. Marxism, Socialism, Saul Alinksyism 101.

Because they want to claim that they tried but universal healthcare is the only way to go?
