San Francisco Burger King goes rainbow with ‘Proud Whopper,’ response mixed(VIDEO)

The limitless imagination of the American marketing mind came to the fore again this week, as a San Francisco Burger King franchise unveiled its “Proud Whopper” in honor of LGBT Week.

It’s exactly the same as a regular flame-grilled Whopper, but inside its rainbow-colored wrapper read the words, “We are all the same inside.”

Senior Vice President Fernando Machado told Fox News, “It showcases who we are as a brand. It shows how we, as a brand, believe in self-expression.”

The fast food chain even produced a video to highlight the campaign, ending with a little girl yelling, “I love my two mommies,” although only one restaurant is in on the promotion.

With all the decent burger joints out there (Red Robin, Five Guys, Smashburgers, In-And-Out), it amazes me that people still decide to eat at Burger King and McDonalds. They are absolutely awful. Just the clientele of BK and McD’s makes me want to shower afterwards.

I am, actually, fond of the "Whopper". Ironically or not, I always ordered a "Whopper no Mayo", as I do not care for mayonnaise. Rather than have my simple order evoke pathetic snickering among the sodomites Burger King will inevitably attract as employees, it'll be best if I just look elsewhere for a burger. I've consumed my last Whopper; Burger King has lost a customer.

CORRECTION to LIEberal illogic: a regular burger is naturally hetero--the meat inside and the bun outside. A truly gay burger would be 2 beef patties served together with no bun. A lesbian burger would be 2 buns served together but no beef patty. Therefore regular, normal hetero burgers ONLY are the same inside. But they can have it 'their way'.
