MNSure lapse leaves 16,000 low-income applicants awaiting coverage

At least 16,000 low-income Minnesotans never received letters telling them that the state needed more information on their MNsure applications for health insurance, and many possibly remain uninsured.

State officials disclosed the mistake Wednesday and blamed the problem on human error.

The notices were supposed to tell the applicants to provide more information to qualify for the state's Medical Assistance program, but the notices were never sent.

The applicants applied through MNsure, the state's new health insurance exchange, but their eligibility for the low-income assistance couldn't be automatically verified.

"We understand that this is unacceptable to have not been sending these notices for this period of time -- to have left people in this ambiguous status," said Chuck Johnson, the Minnesota Department of Human Services' deputy commissioner for policy and operations. "We're working to fix it as quickly as possible."

All orchestrated to assure the USA that the Gov’t will swoop in and ‘save us’ with comprehensive Nationalized Health Care. This will happen before November 2016. Bet on it.

Bureacrats routinely make mistakes that would get them fired immediately in the corporate world and executed for treason in the military.

And when a bureaucrat in the gov’t makes a mistake, who ya gonna sue?

At least in private business there is a (mostly) quick reparation process.

Bureaucrats’ ‘mistakes’ are largely intentional bent to the will of Executive Administration ghost policy.

By that I mean that the entitlement system today is intentionally ignoring the eligibility verification of a large part of its recipient base. They do not verify claims of low/no income, assets, etc. They are assumed to be Democrat voters and that is enough.

However, the government in its infinite stupidity and incompetence neglected to realize Insurance Companies are NOT government bureaucrats and they they’d [gasp!] require some sort of written, confirmed proof! Imagine that, requiring proof! Novel idea.

Minnesota is about to lose one of its biggest employers, Medtronic. They are moving their headquarters to Ireland. Though they have been vague about it, Obamacare is certainly one of the things that makes doing business in Ireland better than the USA.

I no longer live in Minnesota (too much government) but the loss of Medtronic must be tough because the company was started by two Minnesotans in their garage. Kind of like Minnesota’s version of HP in California.

Whose military? In ours you get taken from the military and put into the administration.

And most of these poor are black. It is deliberate.

Obama hates black people.

Translation: Damn, we got caught.
