The recent illegal immigration crisis, conveniently whipped up by President Obama and his cronies, has become a hot topic of discussion in the media.
Many liberals are calling for amnesty to be granted to the thousands of unaccompanied children that are pouring into the country, filling up emergency shelters all across the border states.
Conservatives on the other hand want the current immigration laws on the books to be enforced and the border to be secured to stop illegals from gaining access to America.
Bill O’Reilly recently decided to tackle the subject of illegal immigration on his Fox News program, offering a solution so full of common sense it’s likely to baffle the political class in Washington.
O’Reilly outlined a plan for immigration reform that involved the U.S. border being permanently patrolled by the Army, and would prohibit illegal adults from receiving welfare benefits.

O’Reilly said that President Barack Obama must demand that Mexico police its own borders. This means preventing tens of thousands of illegal aliens from crossing into Mexico from Guatemala, as well as stopping human smugglers and border intruders from crossing into the U.S. On the other side of the border, the American Army should also be patrolling. If Mexico doesn’t cooperate on the border issue, Obama should threaten trade sanctions.
Next, “The Factor” host said that undocumented aliens should have to register at a local post office within three months, providing their name, age, country of origin and U.S. address. If they don’t, it would be a felony and they would go to a federal prison upon conviction.

Republicans and big business don’t want to secure the border it’s just a fact. The illegals temporarily prop up social security, housing and a host of other things so they can kick the can down the road. Republican doesn’t mean conservative and people seem to forget this?
If Obama sends troops to the border it will be to act as armed escorts.
If anyone gets shot, it will be American Citizens who get in the way.
Go to the Netherlands and walk the sea wall. Every half mile or so there’s a phalanx anti-aircraft battery.
If that Mexican helo had decided to cross the border to Holland from the sea, that helo would be in the water in several hundred pieces.
The military incursions by Mexican Army elements is utter shite. There should be dead Mexicans in battle fatigues along the north side of the Rio Grande.

I just finished reading ‘One if By Land’ about the goings on on the border. Zero designated a big piece of land as protected habitat on the border which is now being used to transport drugs as well as a path for other illegals. Whoever gets in office in 2016 should rescind the designation & then plant a military base right there, whether it peeves Mexico or not.
And then put in watchtowers every mile or so, from one end to the other.
That would be a good first step toward reasonable border control ...
If that's true, I'd think the treaty would be null & void after the Mexican helicopter came across the border and fired at our agents.
