I have to disagree on this one. I think this was a SERIOUS miscalculation, along the lines of the Bowe Berghdahl mess, where we all were supposed to be celebrating the triumphant return of the POW. except ... oops. In this one, we all were expected to rally around these poor displaced children, except even most of the liberals I know are seeing this as a planned -- and really creepy -- invasion, not a "humanitarian crisis." I'm guessing panic is setting in at the highest of levels. They're probably burning the midnight oil right now trying to figure out how to convince us that they -- and especially Obama -- were "as shocked as anyone about this!"
In pandering to its crazy base, this administration long ago lost its grip on reality. Only the herculean efforts by the media to put a spin on everything Obama does has kept the low information voter from realizing just how demented the gang in the White House truly is.

I suspect these funds will be used to house, feed, and school the illegals for a year, and then whoever has the “hot potato” at that point will have to start paying. Obama tried this with funding for teachers and cops, and the smarter locales politely declined; the up-front payment was only for a year or two, then taxpayers would have to bear the cost.
