I dunno. When I worked in the private sector, it was weird.
Customers would come in or call, and you'd have to wait on them.
You didn't get to make them jump through hoops, wait on hold for half an hour, and then blow them off.
I got a nastygram from the IRS at the beginning of the third week of May. Sent a complete explanation back a week later, and have contacted them twice on the phone.
After 20 minutes or so on hold, I get a know-nothing who can't help me, and doesn't know when the "others" are going to act on my information.
I continue to receive nastygrams from their decrepit computer system, which the IT staff is apparently incapable of programming with the simplest of subroutines.
I get a mental picture of the Washington Monument as the "Washington Middle Finger".
How appropriate that Present Obama lives right next to it...
