This Is Where Chris McDaniel's Camp Will Look For Voter Fraud
The Wire ^ | June 25, 2014 | By ARIT JOHN

After last night's defiant not-a-concession speech, the Tea Party's Chris McDaniel doesn't seem willing to let his Mississippi Senate seat dreams go. If he does decide to go the legal route, he'll likely start with Hinds County, the majority black county where Cochran gained thousands of votes.

In 24 mostly black counties voter turnout increased by 39.4 percent, but none of those counties gave Sen. Thad Cochran as many votes as Hinds, which is 69.8 percent black. There, voter turnout increased by 49.57 percent according to the Clarion Ledger's Sam Hall.

But in the chart above you can see that Hinds is an outlier, the same way DeSoto County (73.4 percent white) is for McDaniel. Given Sen. Cochran's outreach to the black and heavily Democratic community, and McDaniel's complaint about "a Republican primary that's decided by liberal Democrats," he'll likely start there.

Did they decide it was better to lose the seat altogether than for McDaniel’s to win?

Yes. I can't see the people that has been calling racists and worse to cone out for him in November

Vote fraud does not simply steal an election from its rightful winner; more important, it steals the election from the citizens.

Voters do not register for a party in Mississippi. The Breitbart article said:

“There were 24,889 votes cast in Hinds County in the runoff—17,927 were for Cochran and 6,962 were for McDaniel—but only 20,567 Republican voters are listed in Hinds County, according to the well-known Labels and Lists Voter Data Base.”

So even though 39,431 residents of Hinds County voted for Cochran in 2008, this half-assed database claims there are only 20,567 Republicans in the county.

If McDaniel’s group can’t even get figures correct, how are they going to challenge this election? They’ll be laughed out of court.

Here is a question. If Mississippi has a three man race and no one gets 50%, will there be a runoff between the top two vote getters?

I’m very sorry to hear there are no republicans or democrats in Mississippi. I guess conservatives will have to vote democrat or stay home. I myself would write in McDaniel or the conservative of my choice. Nice corrupt system the elites and establishment have set up down there.

From what I can see, if one candidate does not receive >50% in a primary, there is a runoff between the top two candidates. Because there are only two candidates in a runoff, one will get more than 50% of the vote.

And, of course, in the November election, it’s just the person with the most votes who wins. If McDaniel runs a write-in race, he could potentially win the Senate seat with less than 50% of the vote, as long as he had the most votes of all the candidates.

"I was heartbroken and very thankful that Rose was not aware of what was going on," Connie Cochran, who is married to the senator's brother, told The Associated Press in a telephone interview Thursday.

Can't say 100% it's the same person but it ain't lookin' good for Thad...

It’s fraud, but has any Republican challenged this kind of fraud since Richard M. Nixon gave a pass to JFK in 1960? The establishment won’t acknowledge any fraud; so Crhis can’t do much to appeal. People in MS are the culprits for sitting on their rears and letting all of this happen.

I’ve never understood why anyone in Mississippi would vote against Cochran. If the Republicans retake the senate, he will be the chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee

And that is the definition of Bipartisanship. Bringing home pork to your state and saddling the debt on others.

It’s looking perfect for Thad.

He’s in like Flynn.

Till Nov 4.

Things may change for him then.

I predict moving boxes in his future after that.

The way to show fraud is to find out if some of those who voted in the Republican runoff on June 25 also voted in the earlier Democrat primary. But how could one prove they voted for Cochran unless there is a paper trail? I’m pretty sure no challenge wille ever happen. Voters also dislike such challenges; would rather live in fantasy.

Even Bill Clinton never appeared in public with any ‘date’ other than his wife.

Much less lived with her openly.

Most people who contested an election never recovered politically to run a serious race again. The uninformed people don’t like what they call “sore losers” even if one were defrauded. That’s why Richard M. Nixon gave his famous pass to his friend JFK.

Reagan never contested an election. McDaniel should graciously concede and then work to win another time. Cochran’s no shoo in for election in November because the Democrat is more Conservative than is Cochran.

Write in votes aren’t counted per Mississippi code unless it’s a replacement candidate.

And independent candidates must present by March 1.

The sad part of all this is that Cochran probably doesn’t even understand what the problem was, how the GOP got him elected and what he is supposed to do now? He’s there in the Senate to be told what to do by McConnell, McCain and Graham, et al.

It will be interesting to see if Mississippi conservatives are so disgusted they don’t turn out in November and get him re-elected for reals. BTW, Thad, don’t count on that black vote then.
