Of course they are there - and probably a dozen or more other places. This “her hard drive crashed” is a bunch of BS.
To even sit and listen to a convoluted explanation about it is an insult to one’s intelligence. Any government employee who spouts such should be imprisoned.
The NSA has been collecting everyone’s email since around 2006. Get the copies from them.
This is the equivalent to the missing time on the Watergate tape.
However, the response by the media is totally different.
What did they know and when did they know it and all that jazz.
What a dictators puppet the Press has become.
Is really any wonder why our country has become so ignorant?
Darrell Issa is NOT a Senator.
Bwahahahaha!! Good one! Tell another...
“Darrell Issa is NOT a Senator.”
True, and he’s not much of a Representative either. All horn, no driveshaft!
Because if they are, they are the hard drive crash is the relevant you can dispose of any correspondence whenever you see fit.
But if not..if IRS and other federal government agencies are required by law to maintain these records..
Then, to have them lost by the supposed crash of one hard drive, is criminal neglect and incompetence, on a level far worse than the IRS targeting Tea Party and their should be across the board prosecuted and prison time.
Wow, talk about magic thinking! The current regimethugs are not about to allow their secrets to be revealed. AQnd yes the NSA has all the minute details, but the NSA is as criminally run as any other department under this lawless regime of little drug-addled bath-house barry bastard boy. If court ordered for courier to Issa you can bet the records would 'accidentally' be lost there, too.
That Utah real estate needs to be rendered uninhabitable.
And it is this same criminal arm of the DNC thuggery now slated to control all of America’s healthcare. How ... fascist.
The loss of critical federal correspondence...
Required by law to be maintained....
From the crash of ONE hard drive...
Is a far bigger and far-reaching scandal of federal government criminal neglect...
Then the original issue of targeting of conservative groups
‘IRS contracted with email archiving company in 2005’
Is that a smoking gun I smell? It turns out the IRS contracted with a company that provides email backup services starting in 2005. This first came to light in the Twitter feed of moregenr, who noticed that the IRS appears on the client list of email archiving service provider Sonasoft.

It is critical for some heads to roll...
If not, what is at stake here is the ability of ‘Rats to communicate freely with impunity.
If they get away with this, then all the govt traveler communists know they can be emailing their scheming and conniving... it would be a great boon to their agenda without the fear of being caught by an errant email. They will then ratchet up their efforts, go into overdrive, scandals of the day will become scandals of the hour.
You know it has to be really bad for the Democrats to get that schmuck to go in front of the cameras and make excuses like a third grader.
I say this is as an IT professional 30 plus years of experience.
in any private company....
if you had records the federal government required you to maintain by law....
And you lost them by the crash of one hard drive.
You would not only be fired....you would be sued....and prosecuted.
In the professional IT world ..the loss of this data from one hard drive crash would constitute criminal malpractice.
it the equivalent of having an architects building collapse from a fundamental flaw and incompetence...
in IT it is a given that Hard Drives will fail.. its your job as a professional engineer to design systems that have redundancy so data is not lost
It turns out that Senator Darrell Issa is right.
Pardon me, but I hate this crap.
