Part and parcel of the background to this is the rather arcane law in Wisconsin that allows the ‘Star Court’ type of prosecution in political matters. It is called “John Doe” because witnesses cannot discuss what they are summoned for or what they testified to. It has a ‘chilling effect’ upon the political process as no one quite knows what is going on outside the prosecutors and the court system.
The fact that this is being run by Democrat County prosecutors and elected Democrat State judiciary should be sufficient to reveal the intent of this prosecution.
