Supreme Court Justice Sotomayor -- who Lamar Alexander voted to confirm -- is the 5th vote in this terrible Supreme Court decision that limits gun rights and the second amendment. Thanks to Lamar Alexander, the freedom of every Tennessean has been irreparably harmed today

My sentiments exactly. It has become time to start term limiting them and electing them so their records become public knowledge. Term limiting Congress is a must since we have so many just pull the lever ignorant voters.

Does anyone realize what systems and structures MUST be put in place to enforce such a restriction? Stop and think about the processes and establishments needed to get that done. None of it would be constitutional. None of it would be followed just like nobody followed Obamacare.

The Founding Fathers didn’t give women the vote because they knew instinctively that women would always vote for security and against freedom. Historically, 60% of women vote for the candidate who promises to take care of them in one way or another. By putting a collectivist woman on SCOTUS we are ensuring that they will always vote against the interests of free men.

I mean in no way to denigrate conservative women (40% of women) it’s just that they are a minority of their sex and we’ve had to take the bad with the good.

Oh my. I can see that particular law open for a lot of abuse soon and it will have nothing to do with guns but rather money or material given to another.

Taxes anyone?

This means nothing. The political class or criminal class in DC doesn’t follow the rule of law so ordinary citizens shouldn’t either. The Supreme Court is nothing but a bunch of political hacks.

I left a 9mm pistol with a friend 20 years ago. I’m pretty sure he’s working on a feed problem from the magazine. Maybe I should check on the progress he’s making with the repairs. I’ll get to that in another decade or two. Maybe

The ATF will drive MRAPs through this narrow decision, creating thousands of instant felons from honest Americans. They will pursue them with fanatical zeal.

Meanwhile, Obama ordered the Border Patrol to stand aside and permit a mass invasion of the USA by criminal aliens.

The Supreme Court cannot legislate.

Their ruling is unconstitutional.

We are not required to follow unconstitutional law.

It might make purchase sales or exchanges of a gun after the first purchase illegal.

You won’t be able to inherit a gun collection.
Some may create a national gun registry using this.

Not good IMO.

A new criminal class to be fined and imprisoned. How do i buy a gun as a gift? This is an ideological ruling. More big government, more hoops to jump through. That nagging psychological stress when doing anything: is this legal?

Gifts are fine. Buying it, then the receiver paying you for it is still, as always illegal.

Did you read any details? Gifts are fine. Buying a gun, giving it to someone and then being paid by the receiver for it is still, as always, illegal.

They don’t say, but my guess would be he would also have to be licensed and gone through the process of a course and the licensing. Noting was said about wills or trusts where guns are left to people. My trust states my revolver (carry piece) goes to my youngest adult son, and the 9mm Ruger goes to my SOL. Who will all so get the 12 gauge when we both pass on.

I am not stupid, I hung on to all my late husband’s tools, and his guns. Did sell the 30/30 as no one in my family hunted. When I remarried, I talked him into the 12 gauge for home protection. Living in Memphis it was a necessity.

Now we are in Atoka, Tipton Co, most people don’t even have alarms. But the guns are still here to stay.

This conservative great grandma CCW’s.

Even if both parties (Parent and adult child) are law-abiding citizens?
