Despite the damning new revelations in the IRS scandal, ABC and NBC have failed to cover the story as of Monday June 16, and only CBS This Morning reported on the emails on Monday but their evening news program ignoring the IRS alongside ABC's World News with Diane Sawyer and NBC Nightly News.

As Kyle Drennen of NewsBusters noted, "Neither NBC's Today nor ABC's Good Morning America bothered to cover the shocking development. However, both broadcasts did manage to find time for full reports on Britain's baby Prince George learning to walk.”

Rather than continue with its IRS coverage on Monday evening, CBS Evening News instead found time to do a full report on Starbucks helping its employees pay for college. ABC’s World News with Diane Sawyer, gave a full report for Alex Trebek setting the world record for longest game show host and NBC Nightly News found time once again to mention that Britain’s Prince George is learning to walk.

This story is getting buried as deep as deep can get by the television news media. Even Foxnews isn’t talking about it. It’s Iraq, Iraq, Iraq with Fox blaming The One and everyone else blaming Bush. And CNN right now is running a rerun of the rerun they had the other day about the OJ Simpson car chase from 20 years ago.

What does the NSA know, and What does their Meta Data Reveal?

A Freedom of Information request by Judicial Watch is all that is needed.

No surprise. ABCCBSPBSNBCCNN has given aid and comfort to the enemy for decades.

Maybe. Maybe even they can’t stomach this story and expect Obama to come up with a better one. Soon.

Boehner and his merry band of republipussies are certainly not doing anything to scream about the non coverage of this issue.

I can’t believe this is still up on the White House site:

My Administration is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in Government. We will work together to ensure the public trust and establish a system of transparency, public participation, and collaboration. Openness will strengthen our democracy and promote efficiency and effectiveness in Government.

Government should be transparent.

Transparency promotes accountability and provides information for citizens about what their Government is doing. Information maintained by the Federal Government is a national asset. My Administration will take appropriate action, consistent with law and policy, to disclose information rapidly in forms that the public can readily find and use. Executive departments and agencies should harness new technologies to put information about their operations and decisions online and readily available to the public. Executive departments and agencies should also solicit public feedback to identify information of greatest use to the public.

Of course they do.

Pat Caddell called it. Do you believe it yet?

Which just goes to show that the Pubbies are complicit. If every Pubbie Congress critter was asked to raise the subject when they are on TV and radio, the alphabet guys would be faced with either discussing the subject, albeit unwillingly, or they would have to exclude every Pubbie congress critter. Not a good choice for them.

The zombies who watch the alphabet networks don’t like to see unpleasant things so the networks don’t say (or do) anything that might cause their audience to run to the local psychologist to get over their fears of something that “scared” them on TV, internet or radio.

After the “doctor” visit they can go home and watch Oprah or little house on the prairie and feel warm and safe once again knowing that Obama will be watching over them.
