On Wednesday, during a tense exchange lasting more than seven minutes, Gross asked Clinton 10 different ways about the evolution of her stance on gay marriage. But, unlike some recent TV interviews Clinton has given, the takeaway was not Gross's pointed inquiries, but the fact that they seemed to get under Clinton's skin, who snapped back at her interlocutor.
"You know, I really, I have to say, I think you're being very persistent, but you are playing with my words and playing with what is such an important issue," Clinton said after trying to put the issue to rest several times.
Gross, attempting to smooth tension with a chuckle, replied, "I'm just trying to clarify so I can understand ... "
But Clinton fired back, "No, I don't think you are trying to clarify. I think you're trying to say that I used to be opposed, and now I'm in favor, and I did it for political reasons, and that's just flat wrong. So let me just state what I feel like you are implying and repudiate it."
The moment was over soon after that, and the interview moved onto friendlier territory for another 30 minutes, but America Rising, the GOP opposition research group, had already clipped the audio and blasted it out online, eclipsing anything else Clinton had to say.

There was something very unusual about this interview.
Nobody from the left, or even the right, gets pushy with Hillary like that.
It seems the vast left wing conspiracy might be up to something.
There were all kinds of stories about her when Bill was President. Whenever she entered the West Wing, everyone had to scramble into offices and cubes and stay out of sight until she left. No one was to make eye contact with her, and God help the person who spoke to her without being spoken to first.
Why all this now?

I have a hard time believing that the powers that be within the Democratic Party really want this tired, bitter old shrew to be their candidate.
Someone like the National Enquirer could confirm this story by bribing Chelsea’s and Bill’s dental hygienist, barber, or manicurist for samples.
Exactly. Clinton is disliked by many, and inspiring to no one.
That doesn’t mean she won’t be President.
No white man is going to be nominated for President by the Democrats, which leaves only Elizabeth Warren. And Warren is far weaker than people think. Her “populism” is really only a negative, as it scares the rich donor side of the Democratic Party; the mass side of the Democratic Party (blacks, hispanics, whites who receive government paychecks or EITC) still doesn’t know or care about her. She will need to draw an inside straight of MASSIVE fundraising and somehow creating a mass base in 2015 to have a shot.
And in the general? Clinton comes in with a huge advantage. Nevada and Colorado are gone for Republicans because of the population shifts in favor of arrivals from the coasts and Hispanics. He or she would need to combine white working class vote plus lower black turnout to win four out of five of Virginia, Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan. The last time that happened was 1988, when Bush senior won all five states.
Maybe it was Terry Gross’s way of coming on to Hitlery and was rejected by not getting a straight (no pun intended) answer.
Terry Gross is really an intellectual who is very Liberal, rather than being a pro-Liberal hack journalist. Most of her shows are not dealing with politics or politicians.
She probably recognized that Hillary! was the sort of person who would be very pro-gay marriage, but had hidden that position from the public until it became politically viable to admit it. So Gross pointed that lack of integrity out, and it annoyed Satan’s minion.

She definitely has the face for radio.
If they were smart, the would cut the liberal stuff. Donations would significantly increase.
I like their music and, particularly, Ira Flatow's Science Friday and, long ago, Dr Karl Haas' Adventures in Good Music (that was my favorite radio show ever).
Terry is happily married to a man, Frances Davis, who I believe is a jazz critic.
