A chilling message from the cartels: Billboards with hanging mannequins warning cops to choose 'silver over lead' appear in Texas

Two frightening incidents of vandalism in El Paso near the Mexican border in Texas have been interpreted as warnings from drug cartels. In both instances, a mannequin wearing a suit and tie was tied to a billboard with a noose and messages were scrawled over the placards. Local station KHOU reports that one of the signs reads 'Plata o Plombo' which translates to 'silver or lead', a threat used commonly against police officers effectively warning that if they do not accept the cartel's bribes then they will be shot.

We can put thousands of troops half way round the world to fight a bunch of cave dwellers, but can't even protect our borders down south. Juss Crah-azy man.

If the U.S. would have spent the same $$$ down in Mexico and propped up a government worth a crap, we'd not have the issue of illegal immigration. The infrastructure in Mexico is a joke.

There ya go ..... Nothing says lovin like a 30 caliber sabot with a VLD 77 grain load in the oven....... Use a little peanut butter for lube and the critters will carry off the sabot fer ya as well ......smooth, not crunchy.

Stay safe , stay surgical in all your solutions.

Hmmm - somebody forgot about April 21, 1836, the Battle of San Jacinto.

Guess it's time for a repeat, hehe.

Was the update published?

http://www.kfoxtv.com/news/features/top-stories/stories/update-las-vegas-man-vandalizes-el-paso-billboards-5032.shtml#.U4dsQXamUu4

“Jean told investigators he painted “Dying for Drugs” on the billboard to prove a point that people were dying because of the drug trade, court documents stated.”

Accused is from Las Vegas, NV. It appears he was making a “political statement”.

Nobody ever specified a style guide for declarations of war.

They can be 8.5 x 11, or the size of a billboard.

All I know is that nobody in Texas can say they weren’t warned.
