This SF Bay Area ice cream store uses liquid nitrogen to prepare "made to order" ice cream.

We used it to run a IR camera. Every time we collected a load (lasted about 10 days before it all boiled away) someone had to read and sign a safe handling screed.

To be fair to the bar in the story, I cannot recall that drinking it was specifically prohibited.
