Does everyone get a houseboat, an RV and a beach house, too?

Rubio’s thinking small—Open up all of the benefits Congress enjoys to all US citizens.

They work for us, after all.

"Social Security was never designed to be the sole source of retirement income," he said.

This is true, but times have certainly changed in the last 10 or so years as the US moves to a part-timer employment force. The chances of young people working 30 years for the same company nowadays are pretty slim, unless one is in gubment work.

Can someone help me please?

I’m trying to find the words “retirement,” “Social Security,” and “benefits” in the Constitution.

Oh, yeah. And “education,” “health care,” and “health savings accounts,” too.

I know they must be there, or Republicans wouldn’t keep proposing ideas for the federal government to run them, would they?

The Social Security trust fund

There's no such thing.

Just cash coming from other people. And it was spent anyway a long time ago.

Nuthin' but borrowing to pay off IOU's coming due.

Great idea Rube, and give us all the same medical care as Obama gets too.

That will work.

Marco Rubio: Open Congress' retirement plan to all workers

Better yet, force Congress into the same retirement and health plans they are forcing on us.

With what, Marco, dufus water drinker?

Monopoly money?

We, our kids, I should say, do NOT HAVE the MONEY!

We are $18 trillion in debt.

What an idiot.

NO.

Put congress onto our retirement plan.

Blood is shooting out of my eyes.

I have a better idea...get rid of the federal retirement plan for ALL of them.
