Sully's airplane after being fished out of the Hudson:
Personally, I have to believe the Malaysian government DES NOT want the plane for some reason.
I am listening to the spokesman now. He sounds reasonable, but what do I know.
How many times has that happened (not including Airport '77)?
Someone who knows will be knocked off soon.

Next MH370 will be spotted in the Gulf of Mexico. :-)
They don't want it found intact -- that's for sure. So they will ignore these latest "findings" of an intact plane.
If it landed intact in the water it is a pretty good indication of deliberate criminal action by the Malaysian pilot -- that he ditched the plane so that he could swim away -- and they can't have that.
Looks like CNN is reporting on this scenario now.

Different water dynamics. Remember the Air France plane that pancaked into the ocean off Brazil several years ago? pieces floating?

The wings were intack as it floated look at the news reels also youcant truck it though city streets with the wings on too wide. Fail
If there’s titanium it wouldn’t be a WWII aircraft, would it?
Malaysian Transport Minister today:
In line with Malaysias consistent stand of verifying and corroborating any new lead since Day 1 of the search operations, we are aware of a report citing the detection of potential aircraft wreckage in the Bay of Bengal.
China and Australia are also aware of this report. Malaysia is working with its international partners to assess the credibility of this information.
From the article: "An initial report was sent to authorities while the black box still had two weeks of battery power."
They either don't want it found or they're incompetent - maybe both.
Well, the Captain of the the aircraft who put down in the NY Hudson was mostly intact and all survived...
Different water dynamics.
The poster was right, you had it incorrect as was pointed out to you early on in this thread...You just couldn't admit it.
The aircraft could possibly go into the ocean and remain mostly intact. Unlikely, but very possible.
I can post hundreds of pictures of aircraft that have done water landings and broke up. You mentioned one. Scully put that plane tail first and let it flop onto the water surface. Airbus has a ditching mode where things are done to save the plane from sinking too fast. One engine was ripped off and sank. Several other parts came off. Perhaps it’s you that won’t admit that the 777 that went in(?) didn’t break up. My opinion is that the plane was flown into the ocean at speed without any attempt to make a controlled landing.
It’s why you were told, the the aircraft which was put down in the NY Hudson was mostly intact and all survived.
BTW, You could be right. But the fact remains the aircraft until we know different, could have possible sat down on the water and remained mostly intact for a short while. Not likely, but possible.
The press mentioned it as a “miracle landing” meaning to me that it was a one off. Maybe the next time it’s tried it won’t be that successful. Just saying.
Well if the pilot in command was bent on suicide I doubt that he would have done a soft landing in the ocean. It would have gone like that Egyptian Air 767 that was flown into the ocean off Long Island. Just MHO.
