What he is saying is not condemnation of blacks, but a condemnation of our government.
An exaggeration to make a point, a method that is perfectly acceptable.
At any rate, the pols who are so quick to run from him are wimps. “Out of the frying pan and into the fire” might have been an acceptable way to make his point.
He’s giving them ammunition.
It doesn't change that he stood up to the feds and now many US citizens who didn't know before now are aware of how much we've lost to federal over-reach.
Bundy had it all, and squandered it. His comments (however true, that the minorities are enslaved by a new means these days) had nothing to do with his cause and he should damn well know that these comments will not be well received. It takes a professional (like Greenfield or Mark Steyn) to shave close to the truth without sounding offensive.
I cannot get behind this. We need to find another cause, the BLM and all the other agencies will certainly overstep (with lots of military-style hardware) again.
The issue is federal overreach, not Bundy's bizarre theories and patronizing opinions.
You think he’s a racist because he uses the word negro? Really?
y guess is Bundy has never been around 10 Blacks total in his life.
Barak Obama is going to go “Django” on him.
He could have expressed it better, but I find it hard to disagree with his sentiments.
Wait! Bundy supposedly said this last Saturday and yet we are only hearing about this NOW? Also was this recorded or is it still something “overheard” by the NYT? Finally, the term “Negro” is rarely used nowadays. All this makes me suspicious of the veracity of the NYT (and no one else) report.
He’s 100% correct.
More people need to say it!!
Poltroons. The appropriate response for the GOP is “So what? Everyone has beliefs. Some people even believe there’s such a thing as ‘white privilege’.”
Why would the GOP even have to comment? It’s not like he’s running for office.
Ban ALL ‘N’ words.
That was my take too. Slavery is still slavery, whether it's to the plantation owner or the government. It's an illusion that they are free.
Me too...I'll keep my powder dry for a better champion. One that doesn't sound lick a racist. (not saying he's a racist.)
So because he made less than articulate, but truthful statements we should abandon him to the US Gestapo?
Really?
I wont brand him as a racist because he comments on his observations...picking cotton is a euphimism, a poor one, but one nonetheless regarding WORK.
This is a par for the course tactic by leftist scum...
“Seriously? Who talks like that today?”
I do and I don’t give a rats ass what anyone thinks!!
If someone is offended by the truth tough shit!
