Perry on Bush's 'Act of Love' Remarks: Sympathize w/Illegals who Break Laws to Help Their Families
Breitbart's Big Government ^ | April 23, 2014 | Tony Lee

Posted on 04/23/2014 10:05:06 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who is being advised by a prominent pro-amnesty ally to Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg, said that he understood and sympathized with people who break the law to enter the United States illegally to take care of their families.

Appearing on Your World on Fox News with guest-host Stuart Varney Wednesday, Perry was asked how he felt about former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush's "act of love" comments about illegal immigration.

"I have sympathy. I totally understand about people breaking a law to take care of their family," Perry said, noting that that was especially the case when the United States has, in his opinion, essentially told Mexicans for 40 years, "come on over, its okay, don't worry about breaking the law."

Perry, whose poll numbers plummeted during the 2012 GOP presidential race when he said those who opposed in-state tuition for illegal immigrants did not have "a heart," said that the United States welcomed illegal immigrants for their work and then suddenly tried to send them back in the 2000s because of terrorism and the rise of violent drug cartels.

Perry also said he is seriously thinking about running for president....

I am telling you border states are dealing with a fed that will not allow states rights and will not enforce the border.

We round em up and the Fed lets them go, them punishes us.

Lean on the Mexican Gov? You mean that government which is corrupt? That government which encourages their citizens to cross the border illegally because the money their citizens send back to Mexico registers in the billions per month?

Yeah, leaning on them will surely work. /s

How about securing our borders? How about building a massive wall guarded by our troops? Let’s start with that.

I know.

The fedgov is a giant behemoth tyranny that is hell bend on destroying us all.

Our only hope is somehow toppling this fedzilla and immediately paring it down to only its Constitutional duties. Which means almost all of what it does will come to a screeching halt.

I think the only way this will happen is total financial collapse. This will probably happen.

I’m pretty optimistic.

Rick needs to do a ‘Bloomberg’ and find a way to extend his influence in Texas as Gov. I can’t erase from my mind the numerous poor decisions he and his campaign made in 2012. He was recovering from extensive back surgery, he was still high and fuzzy from the pain meds, yet Rick still allows himself to be sent to national debates. Vanity won the day, and Rick lost that round. I could perhaps get past those errors if he wasn’t such an amnesty lover. But he is. Rick is more than ready to knock down any pretense of border control, whereas, most Tea Partyers are not ready to relinguish all semblance of a protected United States.

Wonder if Rick supports and understand the American criminal/meth head who “breaks the law to support their family”? (i’ll bet the answer is NO)

Bring it on. The sooner it collapses, the sooner things can start over on the right foot. For those that are still alive, anyway.

deport all illegals now

The only politician that I know of for sure that would do it and is against illegals was Republican Tom Tancredo

and he was conservative , for limited government etc.

who among the potential candidates is against illegals?

I agree with Perry on everything else and I think he would be great as long at the Republican House can stop amnesty as they did against Bush and clinton.

as president I would deport every illegal to Iran . lets see how the illegal Mexicans like how the Iranians treat them. then no more immigration would ever happen

“I do believe the only way to stem the tide of illegal Mexican immigration is to lean on the Mexican Gov to stop abusing their people. As long as the grass is greener, they will come.”

Funny how that wasn’t a problem for a man like President Eisenhower who simply shipped Mexicans back to their own country.

Why exactly is that too hard for Rick Perry? Not a man? Can’t figure out which country he should have allegiance to?

I admire how Mexicans are unashamed of putting their own country’s interests first. Of course with guys like Rick Perry and Jeb Bush we get the same thing- they put Mexico’s interests first.

It’s not just on the Fed level, States, cities (sanctuary, in-state tuition, drivers licenses, etc). The Law Breaking is not just crossing over to work under the table, it’s: FRAUD, False Identification, stressing the prisons, hospitals, education systems, tax fraud, tax evasion, Selective Service avoidance, etc.

When a “mexican national” is accused of a crime, a serious one, the “dreamer” and “want to be American” is suddenly a citizen of Mexico, the Consulate and attorneys SUE so the murderer won’t get the death penalty. The convenience of being a Mexican National (illegal immigrant). They, illegal immigrants are getting passes on laws that American citizens have to obey and Legal Immigrants can get deported for. They are allowed to be a special class whom the laws don’t apply to. Constitution doesn’t allow for that.

Note how Cruz and Perry have absolutely nothing to say to each other.

Of course they don't. RINO Rick endorsed Cruz's opponent Dewhurst. Moreover, Perry is pro-ILLEGAL alien and Cruz is not.

Could be heritage. Many of them have attacked their fellow FReepers by calling them anti Mexican. I am not anti Mexican, I am pro American.
