Liberals find self-defense “controversial.” That says it all.

The bill is very popular in the state. The media is all over it. Complete freakout.

Sure sounds like crime in Georgia is all set to disappear.

I say we put the same restrictions on journalists as we have for those wanting to exercise their second amendment rights.

1) must pass a background check
2) must be fingerprinted and photo’d
3) must undergo “writing” training just to be sure they do know how to write
4) must only be allowed to write no more than three paragraphs with each paragraph containing no more than 500 words
5) must pay a “fee” for their journalistic license and this must be renewed every year. this may not be renewed however if said journalist did not write using facts. if found to have made up stuff or lied, they lose their license and face penalties and possible jail time. oh, and they lose their right to vote and ever write again.

“Ever notice that everything we do is “controversial” to the media?”

Part of the “progressive” playbook.

If they oppose it, it is “controversial”.

If they like it, it is “needed reform”.

The two terms are nearly interchangable, and they make a huge difference in connotation.

It is how they wield power, and it is almost unconscious with them. Right out of 1984. Orwell said a good party member would know to do these things without thinking.

Any time you read an article with one of the terms, try substituting the other. It may suddenly seem to make sense.

Gun crimes will drop in Georgia, but you will never hear about it in the lamestream media.

"But critics are calling it the “Guns Everywhere Bill.” "

Works for me.

Great! I love the “guns everywhere” bill! Guns in the hands of law abiding citizens tend to make criminals (and govt officials; is there a difference?) nervous.

Uh, follow me closely, since it’s a......LAW......it will affect only the behavior of law abiding people, who aren’t the type to blast away at the wrong time anyway, so......

We won. Take that, NBC "News".

And by the way--other states have had for years what the GA governor just signed. The media is just mad because their side is losing.

It really bothers me that the phrase “allow licensed owners” is emphasized.

I’ll know that the “pro-2A” legislators are serious when they introduce and pass Constitutional Carry laws.

Somehow, someway, We the People have got to figure out how to remove the artificial requirement that guns and people need to be “licensed.”

It would be nice if Georgia gun owners started open carrying regularly. Seeing handguns everywhere would take away the shock of seeing them only occasionally and would alert the bad guys that we mean business.
