EXCLUSIVE--TEXAS AG ABBOTT TO BLM: 'COME AND TAKE IT'
Breitbart ^ | April 22, 2014 | By Bob Price

Posted on 04/22/2014 1:56:16 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

After Breitbart Texas reported on the U.S. Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) intent to seize 90,000 acres belonging to Texas landholders along the Texas/Oklahoma line, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott questioned the BLM’s authority to take such action.

“I am about ready,” General Abbott told Breitbart Texas, “to go to go to the Red River and raise a ‘Come and Take It’ flag to tell the feds to stay out of Texas.”

Gen. Abbott sent a strongly-worded letter to BLM Director Neil Kornze, asking for answers to a series of questions related to the potential land grab.

“I am deeply concerned about the notion that the Bureau of Land Management believes the federal government has the authority to swoop in and take land that has been owned and cultivated by Texas landowners for generations,” General Abbott wrote. “The BLM’s newly asserted claims to land along the Red River threaten to upset long-settled private property rights and undermine fundamental principles—including the rule of law—that form the foundation of our democracy. Yet, the BLM has failed to disclose either its full intentions or the legal justification for its proposed actions. Decisions of this magnitude must not be made inside a bureaucratic black box.”

In an exclusive interview with Breitbart Texas, General Abbott said, “This is the latest line of attack by the Obama Administration where it seems like they have a complete disregard for the rule of law in this country ...And now they’ve crossed the line quite literally by coming into the State of Texas and trying to claim Texas land as federal land. And, as the Attorney General of Texas I am not going to allow this.”

Thanks to American hero Cliven Bundy, and his supporting family and other patriots, people are catching on to the fed’s. land grab.

We shouldn’t have a BLM - they are more trouble than they are worth, and anti-Constitution.

” - - - We shouldn’t have a BLM - they are more trouble than they are worth, and anti-Constitution. “

Somewhere along the way, I recall posters saying something about BLM not being a really legitimate gov organization.

Do we actually know how it was founded, its charter - etc ?

I don’t know how it was founded, but what is most troubling is that they have snipers, etc..

(Judge) “Napolitano said he was “shocked” to see federal agents dressed like troops “in camouflage and with M-16s” adding that the BLM is not “a military or a law-enforcement entity.”

(Got that from newsmax.com/Newsfront)

This sure sounds like Obama’s CIVILIAN National Security proposal that he made in 2008, to me. They are more like brown shirts than Peace Corps types, and that’s an understatement.

Somebody, somewhere must know what they want the land for.

Yeah, Barky -- to bitch-slap Texas. Again.

The Law is in my Mouth...

Of course. Totalitarian Communists are all like that. The only thing you can do with people like that is hold them at arm's length knowing that eventually they will get at your throat, or kill them like the human wolves they are.

[Your caption] .... and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power for the groundbreaking ceremony on March 21, 2014.

Oh, rilly? Los Angeles is in Nevada, now? How'd these guys get rights in Nevada? Is this electricity, or water too?

Thanks! That amazing map ("Portion of each state that is federal land") is a great history lesson where one can pinpoint in time when the Feds changed the law about state lands.... when each territory achieved statehood.

The laws concerning this historical (and "criminal") land-grab should be repealed somehow, and lands returned to the rightful owners, the states. Obvious why maps like this were never taught in school.

Both Rick Perry and Greg Abbott were on Fox News today and were asked about this. They were both awesome.

Abbott and I think a lot alike...even if it is hubris for the election.

We are going up that way this weekend. Does anybody know exactly where this land is located? We are going to Duncan Oklahoma and might pass right by it.

I just read that the land in question along the Red River is a piece 116 miles long.

Here is a question to pose to your elected official next time you get a bug crawling up yer leg...

“Who stands to benefit from the BLM/government seizing 90,000+ acres of Red River Basin property that was previously private property, owned and paid taxes on by private citizens for generations???”

Find out who(m) that is and you’ll find out the real reasons behind this effort, and the one in Nevada, and anywhere else that is not making the news these days...

I can think of one office here in Texas that might be able to find out, if they don’t already know...Texas Land Commissioners office...

Then tap your State Rep, and State Senator’s offices...

If they want to keep this situation civil, without the need for two armed forces facing off somewhere...Then it would be in their best interest to get the answers and then we can apply proper pressure on those people, and not allow them to truck in their goon squad...

Otherwise, I’m not so sure this one will have anyone backing down...
