A 10-year-old boy has managed to escape the clutches of a kidnapper by singing a gospel song until the suspect couldn't stand it anymore and let him free.
Police say Willie Myrick was abducted by a man from his Atlanta, Georgia driveway, on March 31.
The suspect allegedly lured him with cash and then, when he was close enough, grabbed him and pulled him into his car.
They then drove around for three hours before the man dropped Willie off unharmed in East Point.
But Willie's actions during that terrifying time probably saved his life.
Willie said he sang the gospel song 'Every Praise' repeatedly until the man told him to get out of the car.
Willie said while he was singing, the man kept cursing and telling him to shut up before eventually kicking him out.

I don’t know the words to “Every Praise”, but I’m sure God heard it as prayer.
The man kept cursing and telling him to shut-up but I wonder if he also said “it burns...it burns”.
“Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?”

Reminds me of The Ransom of Red Chief.
Praise JESUS, the WORD.
“the man kept cursing and telling him to shut up before eventually kicking him out.”
Proof that homosexuals are god fearing people. But for
completely different reasons. They are damned to hell and
there’s really not much they are willing to do about it so
like all liberals, they try to drag everyone down the gutter
with them. The lowest of human scum.
"Every Praise"
Every praise is to our God.
Every word of worship with one accord
Every praise every praise is to our God.
Sing hallelujah to our God
Glory hallelujah is due our God
Every praise every praise is to our God.
God my Savior
God my Healer
God my Deliverer
Yes He is, yes He is
Yes He is, yes He is [repeat]
Every praise is to our God.
Every word of worship with one accord
Every praise every praise [repeat]
Is to our God
WOW!
When I was a child in Sunday School, my favorite teacher, a very elderly lady, was driving along a rural road of Tennessee and at a Stop sign, a couple guys came to her car and tried to get in......
....she was so scared all she could remember was a Bible verse about how God protects us like a mother hen and gathers us & the feathers shield us from harm
....but all she could spit out was ......feathers, feathers, feathers
She kept saying it to them over and over again.....
They thought she was crazy.........and they left!
God works in mysterious ways.
Yes wow, I watched the video of the song, and I could just picture a 10 year old boy singing that song. Just knowing a small boy would resort to that in a time of great distress... brought tears to my eyes. I’ll admit it, it’s a great thing to see our young ones trusting in God, and God delivering them from evil.
btw: gettin' into the car w/a stranger?
with no (sane) parents around?
Gospel Ping!
Worth repeating:
Teach your kids this song:
“Every Praise”
Every praise is to our God.
Every word of worship with one accord
Every praise every praise is to our God.
Sing hallelujah to our God
Glory hallelujah is due our God
Every praise every praise is to our God.
God my Savior
God my Healer
God my Deliverer
Yes He is, yes He is
Yes He is, yes He is [repeat]
Every praise is to our God.
Every word of worship with one accord
Every praise every praise [repeat]
Is to our God
Miracles happen every day.
I also watched the video...what a wonder song. God bless the little boy! His testimony is going all over the world!
Wonderful read. Thank you for posting it.
Very inspiring story that shows that no matter how lost a person is, there is always a kernel of good left.
Still you have to wonder how much shorter the ordeal would have been if he had gone into an endless rendition of the Barney theme or “It’s a Small World. “
