Groups urge Boehner on immigration reform

Ohio faith leaders and members of the immigrant community rallied Thursday evening at The Square @ Union Centre to call on House Speaker John Boehner to “Do the Right Thing” on immigration reform.

“Every day that he’s waiting … every day that immigration’s not passed, more families are separated,” Fabiola Arce of the Intercommunity Justice & Peace Center told the crowd. “The children are put into foster care and I just don’t understand how they can break up families like that when they have hard-working parents here.”

Arce, a Xavier University graduate and teacher at DePaul Cristo Rey High School in Cincinnati, said she’s met students who have been held back a year because of the constant fear that comes with having a parent deported.

Boehner apparently has an amnesty boner.

No good will come of this.

For the EXEMPT, it is not a question of ‘IF’ they will

Let the leftists go into Mexico and make it a paradise where all of us here in the US are willing to sneak in to benefit.

Immigration reform MUST start with the premise that NO ONE that is in this country illegally can become a citizen. Then and only then can the debate begin.

As I type this, I am watching a house I suspect of being used as either a “Stash House” or a “Drop House”.
Neither the sheriff’s department nor Border Patrol are interested enough to even check. So...................

It's amazing how these people feel no compunction about slapping the faces of all the friggin people like my parents and all the other legal immigrants who waited and waited for their turns to be Americans and then reward the thieves in the night who have been stealing for decades and really don't want to be anything but Mexicans, Guatemalans, nicaraguans, anything but Americans.

Screw it.

Lets just do away with our borders completely, allow the ENTIRE WORLD to vote in our elections, and sign up for our “welfare” system. We’ll cover the entire population of the world with 0bamacare and Social(ist) Security Disability. Will also raise the minimum wage to $10,000.10 per hour.(that extra dime always seems to mean something to them for some reason)

It’ll be the American Leftist’s wet dream!

Republicans will counter this proposal with a deal which will place age restrictions to the voting, the borders will remain active Monday through Friday(8AM-5PM), means testing the healthcare/welfare benefits, a $5,000.10 per hour minimum wage and refer to it as “Conservatism”. There will then be outcries from the media and 0bama, demonizing them for their cruelty, the they’ll cave in, as always...

The families wouldn’t be separated if part of them hadn’t illegally sneaked into the country.

Why don’t we just take Mexico’s lead on our immigration laws and policy?

Republicans need to table any talk of this period but they need to at least until the November election as the Republicans SHOULD then control the Senate along with the House.

We’re always being told how the US needs to follow the wonderful example of other nations-I say OK, let’s begin by following Mexico’s practices on immigration law and non-citizens owning real estate.

I agree, he’s working hard enough to ensure that no one on the purported right ever gets a chance to be anything else.

I called Boehner’s DC office today and left a message. In a calm, respectful tone (and decibel level) I simply asked “in calling for a vote on citizenship for 30 million Federal felons has the Speaker lost his mind?” Then I said “thank you” and hung up.

We hear so much from the media and politicians about what the “immigrant community” wants.

Why don’t we ever hear from them about what the “tax paying, Law abiding, legal citizen community” wants?

“The families wouldn’t be separated if part of them hadn’t illegally sneaked into the country.”

wouldn’t these hard working, family loving invaders want to take their children back with them when they return to their homeland? who is forcing the parents to leave their children behind if they are deported?

So they keep them in school costing the taxpayers money. Is this the Obama executive amnesty that anyone with children in school doesn’t get deported?
