Bundy Ranch Family vs. Big Gov., Big Green, Big Media
The New American ^ | April 16, 2014 | William F. Jasper

“Hoofed locusts.” That’s how Sierra Cub founder John Muir saw domestic sheep and cattle. It is a term later adopted by Earth First! anarchist and “EcoWarrior” Edward Abbey and other radical enviro-actvists.

Muir, Abbey, and their ilk harbor equal (or, perhaps, greater) contempt for the farmers and ranchers who inflict the “hoofed locusts” on Mother Earth. The “locust” farmers/ranchers, like the “destructive” critters they produce, must be eradicated (humanely, of course), say the activists. That is why Cliven Bundy (shown) and his family’s ranch in Clark County, Nevada, are now in the headlines

The eco Nazis really hate cattle. Never mind that cattle ranching is far less harmful to the environment than say, soybean farming.

It is high time that the people rose up against all those communist liberal groups and run them off. This country has suffered huge problems because of their liberal agenda. IMO they are the ones who are RACIST, racist against the American people and their way of life. It is either THEIR way and NO OTHER. I for one am sick of them.

run them off? I think we need to take this a little more seriously. BTW, I have no problem with the death penalty.

If all you folks would get your meat from Safeway we wouldn’t have all this trouble.

Might as well put this here. As per my previous post (#132 at "Reid Calls Bundy Supporters 'Domestic Terrorists' ") I went down to the Bundy "outposts" on State Route 170 this afternoon. There was supposed to be a barbecue, but something got lost in the translation.

There was to be a 1 p.m. speech by "somebody". TV stations 8 and 13 had vans there. It was 12 p.m. but I thought I'd hang around. A lot more people here today - about 100.

As I entered the area, I was handed my "name tag" and a small booklet that reprinted the Constitution. Around 1:15 the speech began - by no other than Clive Bundy.

He thanked us for continuing to show our support. However, there was no amp or Kareoke-type mike, and it was hard to hear him even though I was only 15 feet from the platform. It was windy and it carried his voice away, so a couple of times I just clapped when everybody else did. He had four guys up there with him, all with holstered pistols, with a few in the audience, plus about a dozen in Oath Keepers shirts and caps.

He got a laugh as well when he said that the BLM agents should be like Boys Scouts helping old ladies across the street and not knocking them down.

The Q&A session was a bit better in that I could hear what was being asked. One asked about the cattle losses and Bundy said it looked like 37 were missing, but some still might be out in the bush. However, they discovered a 50'x30'x10' deep trench the BLM had dug and a third was filled in. They haven't had a chance to see if cattle were buried there. Another younger guy, maybe his son, said that a lot of calfs were missing and presumed dead.

There were cars from ten states, with CA and NV being the most prominent, with AZ and UT following. One each from TN, ID, MT, OR, AK and CO. The guy from Montana got up and said he had been fighting BLM encroachments for 15 years and while his situation wasn't as bad as Bundy's, he hoped to God he would have the same support as Bundy had. He said that 10 years ago he have have expected Montanans to rally, but "since so many from California have come here and screwed things up, I have to wonder."

Following are some new pics and captions of the event.

A lot more people showed up today.

Parking lot, showing CH 13 van center left, CH 8 van center lower right.

My "name tag". The darn thing came off later in a grocery store, so I had to use double faced Scotch tape for the picture.

Speaker's Platform.

Useful info.

Just in case. :-)

Almost the pickups had pro-Bundy or anti-BLM messages across the back window or tailgate.

Bundy speaking.

I sign up for their email alert and got this nice, informative message:
“Hi,

Thank you for your support.

We will try to use this to keep you informed of important developments and things you can do to help us create a bettre world for our children and generations to come.

Watch your Email and Text messages. We will try to keep you informed but we will not be sending a constant barage of emails to you.

There are lot of rumors. Just remember if you do not see it here or on our blog its probably not true. http://bundyranch.blogspot.com/

If you would like to use a hashtag on social media use #bundyranch #clivenbundy #standwithbundy

PLEASE share the things you like on Facebook and Twitter, that is how we spread the word, but please don’t spread rumors it causes people to lose focus and soon they get tired.

We desperately need protestors at the Protest site on Bunkerville road every day. We are far from done with this effort. We need to keep the media focused and they will leave if there are not enough protestors. So come out and see us.

Thank you and love you!!

-Carol

PS - don’t reply to these messages, we typically are not monitoring the email account. Kind of busy.”

“Hoofed locusts.”

Would these eviro-Marxists consider the great herds of buffalo and bison that roamed the plains to be hoofed locus? Of course not.

These so-called environmentalists are like watermelons: green on the outside but red on the inside.
