Sorry, forgot to add that Barry, being an anti-colonialist marxist, must get a great deal of pride in damaging the economies of what he feels are an imperial state (US) and the largest country (Canada) founded by his pappy’s country’s former colonial ruler, Great Britain. The pride at the double slap to the US, UK and anything of English heritage, must make him weak in the knees!

I have one of my AM presets set to a college station in Los Angeles. They play classical music there most of the time. Then they go NPR parts of the time also.

Yesterday I hit the preset, and it was an NPR interview moment. The woman there was some self-designated this or that related to protecting Gaia, Greek mythological mother earth. (the mother of all)

These pagan pains the ass sure have flourished over the last twenty years or so. At any rate, this ecologically hip sounding grandmother type was expounding on the virtues of stopping the tar sands oil development. Oh it was a waste of water, contributed to air polution, was going to send us over the edge on climate overheating...

The moderator spoke in hushed tones. The guest spoke with the intellectual prowess of someone telling you to send your banking information, you just inherited gazillions in a Nigerian pyramid scheme.

I listened for a few moment to remind myself what a bunch of freaking idiots there are running around out there. And surprisingly, people who should know better are buying into this tripe.

I don’t care if you’ve got three years of eduction or over twenty, you’re vulnerable to this stuff if you don’t pull your head out once in a while and take a look around.

I return control of our computer now, but beware, it’s a feaking nightmare out there. The Outer Limits had nothing on these zombies.

Looks like somebody needs to update their maps. I knew we had natural gas lines because we had practically a whole town wiped out by a gas line explosion last year not far from us.

Buffett is going to make his, pipeline or no pipeline. The Keystone Xl is primarily to bring Alberta Tar Sands crude South to the US to be refined.

The excess capacity will handle only a small fraction of the over 900,000 barrels per day of crude oil from the Williston Basin, including the Bakken and Three Forks production, so the trains will keep running either way.

Much of the crude being shipped by rail is going to refineries in the East and West the Keystone XL will not reach.
