Found! First Earth-Size Planet That Could Support Life

For the first time, scientists have discovered an Earth-size alien planet in the habitable zone of its host star, an "Earth cousin" that just might have liquid water and the right conditions for life.

Yeah, I’ve red that it does. :’) It’s a matter of how close in, and in the diagram that showed up in the THIRD topic about this discovery (this one is #2), there’s a nice illustration showing the distance as compared with our Solar System.

Wait...why should we pollute that planet? I mean the planet have intelligent life - CONSERVATIVES only. Why should we dothat to them.

Only 490 light years away. So, if we send out a machine right now, and it averages 100,000 mph, it will get there when?

OK, let's see: light travels at 186,000 miles per second, times 60 seconds in a minute, times 60 minutes in an hour, times 24, times 365, times 490...
