Corruption: The standoff in the Nevada desert wasn't about a desert tortoise or a rancher's failure to pay grazing fees. It was about the state's senior senator again enriching himself and his family at public expense.
Sunlight is said to be the best disinfectant, and the end, at least temporarily, to the Bureau of Land Management's armed standoff with Cliven Bundy may be due in part to the exposure given to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's role in the attempt to confiscate Bundy's cattle and shut down his ranch.
"A tortoise isn't the reason why BLM is harassing a 67-year-old rancher; they want his land," journalist and blogger Dana Loesch notes. "The tortoise wasn't of concern when Harry Reid worked with BLM to literally change the boundaries of the tortoise's habitat to accommodate the development of his top donor, Harvey Whittemore."
Last year, Whittemore, 59, who headed a billion-dollar real estate company, was found guilty by a federal jury on three counts tied to nearly $150,000 illegally funneled to Reid's re-election campaign in 2007. Unfortunately, Cliven Bundy was not a Reid donor.

I was waiting for the Bundys to say something about this guy on tv last night when he was talking to Sean Me,me,me, Hannity.

Harry Reid is a fine person to be talking about “obeying the law”. All laws are not equal, certainly not in the degree of justice conferred. In fact, a lot of them are downright contradictory to other “established” law.
The concept of “civil disobedience” is to INTENTIONALLY defy the unjust law, and be ready to take the consequences.
It is also a good idea to assure the snipers who are set up to “control” the outcome, themselves to be in the sights of others with accurate and loaded weapons.
Sometimes, the law as applied is just inadequate to provide justice, or it specifically calls for injustice.

Not to mention the lame stream media, who is doing their best to ignore this in hopes it goes away. I'm so glad it is not. As huge as a story this all is, you would think rational democrats/independents would wonder why their media is ignoring this story. It is so obvious the collaboration the lame stream media has with the democrat party, especially over this big story of corruption and abuse of power.

It would be interesting to find out how many senators have a staffer advising on land issues. What was Neil’s tasking? Advise Harry on how to use US government rule making to steal land in NV? This sounds like the shariff oh Nottingham keeping people out of the forest where their food was.

Heck, just a few weeks ago it was reported that old Harry was shoveling campaign money into a female relative’s business — deliberately leaving her last name (Reid) off the campaign finance report so as to not draw attention.
Where’s your “Rule of Law” now, Harry?
The female relative was his granddaughter. And now he’s complaining that she’s getting nastygrams about it.

Has he been getting a lot of calls and emails from angry constituents? I would think that the people of Nevada are having just as many problems with Obamacare as everyone else. Isn’t this crook getting any heat?
He gets them from me. And, at least some staffer must read them because I get responses “addressing” what I sent but are probably just boiler plate responses. Can’t speak for other PO’d Nevadans. He’s not very popular outside Vegas. Which has the population to outweigh the entire rest of the state.
You know it’s hard to trace some titles of deed in NV. A few years back it was reported corporations were reported to being set up doing business in NV rather than Delaware where they usually do. Just saying.
