The offices of the Atlanta Braves have been flooded with racist letters, emails, and phone calls attacking Hall of Famer Hank Aaron after his interview comparing the way Republicans treat President Barack Obama to the Ku Klux Klan.
USA Today writer Bob Nightengale said the "sheer racism" of the attack against Aaron was similar to the racist onslaught that the African-American star faced in 1974 when he broke Babe Ruth's home-run record.
Nightengale noted that the new hate mail messages came as baseball was celebrating Jackie Robinson Day, April 15, on Tuesday.
One bigoted writer named Edward wrote an email to the Braves' front office with several expletives and racial slurs contained it, according to The Washington Post.
Another baseball fan named Marion called Aaron "a racist scumbag." Mark called Aaron a "classless racist" while a writer named David said he planned to burn Aaron's "I Had a Hammer: The Hank Aaron Story" autobiography.
The firestorm erupted after 80-year-old Aaron, the senior vice president of the Braves, said in an interview with USA Today that America today is "not that far removed" from the racial intolerance of the mid-20th century.
On the 40th anniversary of his home-run record, he said, "Sure, this country has a black president, but when you look at a black president, President Obama is left with his foot stuck in the mud from all of the Republicans with the way he's treated. The bigger difference is that back then they had hoods. Now they have neckties and starched shirts."

I can proudly say that my sons have no idea who Hank Aaron is. Just as young blacks today are expected to have role models that look like them, my children have the same.
These “civil rights icons” should have spoken up when the black separatist/thug movement showed up; now all of their efforts have come to naught, their people live in worse misery than before, and every non-English speaking group that lands on our shores (including Africans) leaves them in the dust.
When “black leaders” were whining that blacks were under-represented in baseball (since blacks like Sammy Sosa were labeled “Hispanic” by them), they conceded that American blacks couldn’t compete with other blacks...

Every workplace in America has similar problems; these are two mutually exclusive groups, and the remedy is to replace American blacks with blacks from other countries that haven’t been raised in the racial grievance industry (they’ve been screwed over by other blacks instead).
Even Newsmax skips the fact the Aaron’s remark was racist. Someone should tell Newsmax that calling someone a racist scumbag is not racist but comparing them to the KKK certainly is a lowlife horse sh%t thing to say.

Hank, unfortunately, is totally ignorant of his roots. His comments about the KKK show this. The KKK arose three times in our history, and all three times when either the blacks (Republicans then, freed by Lincoln) we’re in control. They had the majority vote in the slave states at that time, in SC the local armed militias were all black...whites would not join. They joined the KKK instead. In the other two instances, the Republicans were in control giving blacks rights they deserved. The Democrat whites turned to the KKK to oppose these efforts. Too bad blacks today are ignorant of their history...a history they mistakenly throw in our faces daily (as Hank has done). It is not a sign of political ideology, it is a sign of ignorance...once again the schools have failed us teaching people an alternate history
