If you called the phone number on one of the hundreds of cards they distributed, you could hear a "white power message" delivered by their leader, Joe Tommasi, which was usually on the misdeeds of Jews.
After a falling out with the party's leadership, Tommasi was expelled and promptly formed his own faction. In 1975, he was killed in a shootout with his former colleagues in front of the El Monte headquarters. The NSWPP soon left the building, which was torn down.

OK, there may have been reasons. Mistake or not, we're looking backwards.
The only thing that concerns me a bit, as a felon was he able to acquire firearms with his clean SS number. I understand the necessity of a clean SS number, but if Justice gives those out, they need to monitor who has them, beyond their usefulness to prosecutions.
