Look at the way the EC is distributed now. States with high populations already have the majority of electoral college votes. States with few EC votes are rarely campaigned in except when they would make a difference.
Very true. People like to pretend the Electoral College & its current winner-takes-all approach does not already disenfranchise many.
For those of us who refuse to support the Big Two, the current system is the most significant barrier to the national rise of additional political parties (which isn't to say I like the system referred to in the article any better).
That’s true - but a popular vote would just make it worse.
