Sheriff: Feds strategize for 'raid' on ranch [Sheriff Mack]
WND ^ | April 14, 2014

Warning follows threat from Harry Reid that grazing dispute 'not over'

The chief of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association says his sources inside the federal government are warning that Washington’s weekend retreat in a dispute over grazing land in Nevada was just to distract and defuse – because a raid on the family’s ranch still is being strategized.

And there probably would be violence involved, said Richard Mack, the former sheriff of Grisham County, Ariz.

“I don’t think it would be possible” to launch a raid without violence, he told WND Monday. “I don’t the Bundys would lie down and be taken.”

He cited the threat from Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., that the confrontation was far from over, despite the weekend’s retreat by armed gunmen working for federal agencies.

Reid on Monday told KRNV-TV in Reno. “It’s not over. We can’t have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it. So it’s not over.”

The rabble rousing around here is going down a dangerous path.

I believe this is the wrong battle to fight. All that will happen is a lot of people will die, for a guy who has been found wrong in a court—time after time after time.

To think this guy is in the right, you are saying that four different courts are in on the conspiracy.

I respectfully disagree. You can argue about whether the turtle is right or wrong, but this guy is operating against the findings of the court system.

Are we a nation of laws or not?

The Guadalupe Hildago treaty is on Bundy’s side.

Even if Bundy had no claim to the land, there is absolutely no possibility that the feds do. Any land in private possession at the time the treaty was signed can never be government land.

The legal assignment of lands in the West was full or errors and there are many excellent arguments to be made on either side. However, as I posted above, going back that far in time means we should redraw the borders of Mexifornia and prepare to see the American Indians become super-wealthy.

The claim Bundy’s family made to lands did not survive. Bundy can blame his relatives or mine, but he does not own the land and all the old treaties are pointless today. He conceded the point when he paid BLM and I understand his families claims were pressed in court. Land claims in the West were beyond crazy, but our relatives settled it.

Fact - Bundy paid grazing fees to BLM and stopped. Fact - Bundy tried to pay an entity that did not own the land in protest showing that he understood he needed to pay - they could not accept it. Fact - Bundy stopped making any payments for grazing rights he still exercised. He profited and BLM lost the chance to sell those rights to another person willing to pay.

I don’t like the direction our country has taken and I firmly believe that 3/4 (or more) of the federal government is unconstitutional, but our parents voted for this crap and it’s up to us to change it. If we can’t educate a majority of our fellow citizens it won’t matter.

He needs to pay the fees and his legal argument against not paying the fees is nonsense.

You're blind to the realities of this situation. This is a federal landgrab no matter what they use for a reason. In not paying the fees to the feds Bundy is challenging the entire landgrab by the feds. He does not recognize the federal government as the owner of the land.

"Are we a nation of laws or not?"

Obama and the DOJ negated that option.

What sane person believes the US Court system dispenses or adjudicates justice?

MAnd who protest with arms get FAR more respect than a lawyer in court.

Let's have it out. Let the pussies stay home and hope they're not involved.

Those of you who compare this to the real Boston Tea Party fail to understand - we have representation.

No you don't.

If you're represented Mr. beer, why were tens of millions of Americans totally ignored for the past several decades when they screamed, protested, petitioned and voted for relief from this epic invasion of our country?

Do you think 25,000,000 illegals, who've created a massive industry of fraud, have not compromised and undermined our electoral process?

You make a superfluous and false argument.

This has nothing to do with ‘indians’ and the treaty is a binding document preventing any Mexican involvement.

Our congress agreed to protect all private vesting within the treaty boundaries. The Feds presented false evidence in court. That is a criminal act.

Bundy’s mistake was ever paying any fees.

The treaty is just as binding today as the moment it was signed; the constitution says so; its “the law of the land.”

Bundy’s rights are well documented.

“Are we a nation of laws or not”

We will win back our nation by voting them into the minority and out of office.

'They' are the ones who count the votes...So what's the next step???

Ok. So now the court system is one big corrupt operation? Funny—the courts worked fine when Zimmerman walked and Bush got elected.

There are too many folks around here too worked up. There is a part of me that hopes a bunch of the militia folks end up in Federal Prison. I don’t wish them dead, because I don’t think the BLM guys want to shoot people running away.

This whole thing is a circus. Stand down, back up and figure out the Bundy is an old kook. His whole, “We the people” speech has given a lot of middle aged men erections. It is time for a cool shower.

This is not the battle you want to fight. Once “we the People” hear the whole story—support for this guy will evaporate like the water on a hot Nevada afternoon.

Very thoughtful post and I agree with your sentiments. I have often said I think our country is beyond the point of no return.

However, I won’t make my stand on Bundy. My neighbor and hundreds/thousands of other ranchers make an honest living paying for grazing rights on land they do not own. Bundy did not. He is not heroic.

Most of our government is out of control, but grazing rights is a settled process. Ranchers can still make a living (especially with current beef prices) paying for grazing rights. Bundy paid just like everyone else before he decided not to. His right to protest and choose his fight, but it’s not mine. He profited - we didn’t. He has to accept the consequences as do those who stand with him.

The rule of law is dying FRiend and that makes me worry for the future of my children, but it’s our job to fight for it with the reason of our founding fathers. If the majority of our nation does not comprehend their wisdom (and they don’t) we will follow the historical pattern and either dissolve or wear chains.

My point is that just because you like the sound of his case, he is on the wrong side of the law. He is using land and not paying for it. His story is that of a guy who did not like the way the courts treated him, so he went 20 years without paying what everyone else has to pay. He is a deadbeat. It doesn’t matter that he”tried to pay the county.” You cannot go to New York and expect them to take CT sales tax. It’s just a stupid excuse.

Go get yourself shot up for a deadbeat kook.

There will be better fights down the road. You are on the wrong side of this one.
