They are going to need legal representation, that’s for sure. I believe it was the family’s spokesman on Judge Pirro last night who said “What the family needs now is sleep and legal representation.” It surprised me that they didn’t have an attorney or attorneys already.
For all his unfair difficulties I wonder if Bundy has been tilting at windmills in court when more substantive issues that could have been pressed are not being pressed.
One conservative tenet is to let people fail who are intent on self sabotage. Because of the cause, this isn’t being done here. Well fine, but if we want to save Bundy from lack of shrewdness, we ought to at least mean it. And get him wised up about how to continue in the future once his fat has been pulled from the fire.
