OIL FRACKING LEASES Reason For Bundy Ranch Fiasco in Nevada NOT 'Desert Tortoise!
The Survival Place Blog ^ | Aprol 11, 2014 | kackikat

"The Bureau of Land Management has just cashed in with $1.27 million in oil and gas leases in Nevada. This was just reported two weeks ago in ShaleReporter.com, which states:

U.S. Bureau of Land Management geologist Lorenzo Trimble tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal the Elko County oil and gas leases sold

Tuesday for $1.27 million to six different companies. The auction took place in Reno. The leases are near where Houston-based Noble Energy Inc. wants to drill for oil and natural gas on 40,000 acres of public and private land near the town of Wells. The Review-Journal reports the project would be the first in Nevada to use hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, to extract oil and gas from shale deposits.

The way this works, of course, is that BLM runs land theft operations by claiming they are “managing” the land and thereby kicking everyone else off it. "

“It doesn’t look like either water or oil have much to do with the Rancher issue. That just looks like the BLM being the BLM. That is, a bunch of knuckleheads. If the rationale for the whole deal is the tortoise—then the tortoise needs to go. Its just impossible that tortoises and cows can’t be friends or inhabit the same ground.”

Agree. This ranchers family has been running cattle on this piece of land for almost 100 years. And, the turtles are still there, seem to be thriving in fact. If this standoff gets out of hand and shooting starts, then this is what Obama and Holder will be spending their time on for the rest of Obama’s term.

"I was told that environmentalists told Obama that if he oks that presidential permit they will crucify him."

How is that a problem? Sounds like a win-win.

Speaking of fracking, price of gas has gone up 27 cents in the last two weeks. What’s going on, does anyone know?

Obviously you do not understand how many federal court cases are now corrupted by ideology and now it’s not about evidence, truth, or facts. We used to have a great system....now?

Not from Infowars website:

That the courts are corrupted has nothing to do with the fact that conservative outfits like Pacific Legal Foundation that filed briefs on the Hage case would have most certainly supported Bundy if he actually had a case of rights violations rather than being a scofflaw and trespasser.

Because it has become a state. With states rights under the 10th amendment and how dare the feds over step their bounds all over our once free nation.

The federal government is collecting rent on state land. Who are the Moochers?

Nevada became a state. But that didn’t mean all the land in Nevada that was owned by the Federal government suddenly shifted ownership to Nevada.

why not? They are a sovereign state. The feds bought that land, you say, from Mexico, with taxpayers money. So then let the state have it, or sell it off and distribute the money to the taxpayers. If it is public land, then shouldn’t the public benefit from it?

Why should they? Maybe the Taxpayers want to hold onto it as an asset. Why should the Federal government sell all the land it owns?

We can go back and forth about government motives. But the fact is that the Fed hasn't sold this land. If it was Citizen B owning the land, we'd say they could repurpose the land however they want. But because it's government, the fact that they allowed grazing means they must always allow grazing?

I'm watching the Reid/China story with interest. But I'm not really buying it either. This battle has been going on for a long time.

The point is environmental fascists control Obama.

There has been reports that the land in conflict is frack land. Shutting down frack land helps OPEC and gives environmentalists power.

When a state becomes a state, it is up to that state to tend to its own territory, not the federal government. In some areas, the feds own millions of acres, and they did not purchase that land from another country. People like myself are tired of the feds usurping and stealing what is a nation..namely to live without being taxes and owned to death for heaven sakes! I can’t believe it..we built a nation without any federal or any government intrusion into our paychecks, up until the world war two, for the most part. Now look at us..we are slaves to a socialist nation power hungry federal government...some states too, like California. I and many have about had it.

Spills are rare, low pressure leaks uncommon, and equipment failures rare as well. When they do occur (like the failed wellhead in PA on the Chesapeake well), the mess can be extensive, so critical parts are tested, subjected to NDT for flaws, and pressure tested when rigged up.

One of the first things we learn is that that iron just doesn’t care about you. It only takes a second of stupidity or letting your guard down to be mutilated or killed, and there seems to be an endless variety of ways to end up hurt or dead. In-house safety hands who know their stuff are some of the best guys to have around, and the safety programs started by companies like Nabors Drilling in the 80s have saved innumerable lives, limbs, and digits, despite initial carping about time spent on them. Pretty soon, other drilling companies followed suit.

With a huge, new, crop of rig hands, we old timers are constantly reminding them of where not to be and what not to do, and unfortunately, can often do so by recalling how others got hurt. As long as the message gets through...

Not to step on you, but fracking is a production enhancement technique used to maximize production for an already drilled wellbore. There isn’t any such thing as “frack land”. As far as I know, there are no mineral acres in play in clark county for oil well drilling, at least not in this area. The area being considered for exploratory drilling is over by Wells, a considerable distance from the Bundy’s Ranch.

Up until the mining law was changed under Clinton, a person could go out, discover resources on Federal land, stake a claim, and take that claim to patent (full ownership of the land). This provided incentive for people and companies to get out and search for resources on that land and develop it, whether they were individual miners or corporations. Nevada is a tremendously mineral-rich State. Now, the Federal Government owns over 85% of the state, and good luck staking a claim.

Grazing was one more ( green, renewable!) resource the US Treasury could bring in revenue from, but that, too has been shut down in many areas over some excuse or another. Considering a recently touted solar project had to relocate a slew of these allegedly rare and fragile tortises, the excuse leaves much to be desired. Surely cattle can continue to be grazed on the land without ill effect.

Essentially, all that land is doing is being used as collateral for the US to borrow trillions of dollars, while the roads maintained through it by States are paid for by the taxpayers in the State.

Over half of the US west of the Mississippi is Federal Land.

This is about something far worse. This is about Harry Reid selling us out to the Chinese.

I am involved in the hydraulic fracturing industry or ‘fracking’. I know that fracking is an explosive technique to enhance oil production for a well head. I refer to ‘frack land’ as land that can be available for fracking leases:

http://www.naturalnews.com/044670_BLM_lies_fracking_leases_Bundy_ranch.html#

The above link references that fracking leases are behind the Bundy conflict. The link has a further link to the following map document:

http://www.naturalnews.com/files/Petroleum-Data-Clark-County-Nevada.pdf

and claims that it “shows significant exploratory drilling being conducted in precisely the same area where the Bundy family has been running cattle since the 1870’s.”

and further that

“The “Gold Butte” area is indicated on the lower right corner of the document (see below), and it clearly shows numerous exploratory drilling operations have been conducted there.”

and further again that:

“What’s also clear is that oil has been found in nearby areas and possibly even within the Gold Butte area itself.”

Now I know that no single person has a handle on all the fracking that’s going on in the USA nor does anyone know where all the pipelines are both new and old and also in construction. And this is for reasons of regional security and national security.

So your assertion that only Wells NV is involved is a partial blinded view from all that is happening because in this industry people and officials hold a lot of information close to their vests.

It appears also that another motivation behind the conflict are the interests of Harry Reid, his son Rory and the Chinese with their offer to install a 5-billion dollar solar plant facility on the land that the Bundy cattle graze on.

This is what I know and believe:

1. The Saudis are losing sleep at night with the prospect of the Bakken development and its proven reserves of more than 10 times those of Saudi Arabia as well as other plays that are forecast to yield significant production. The Saudis will use their money and influence anywhere to shut down American fracking developments.

2. Environmentalists have threatened to ‘crucify’ Obama if he grants a presidential permit for oil to ship via pipeline between the USA and Canada. This information comes from a top manager from one of the USA’s largest logistics companies. What ‘crucify’ means I can only guess that it may have to do with allowing investigations and impeachments to move ahead if Obama doesn’t comply with fascist environmentalist demands. And these so-called environmentalists are not really environmentalists per se, they are fascists like Soros who use the EPA as a tool to restrain the USA and to garner control for themselves.

3. The global currency reset that is believed will be kicked off on July 1 of this year will have each nation’s currency based on its resource assets and its liabilities. Combine this information that China and Russia want to knock down the US Dollar as the reserve currency behind the global oil trade and we see a motive for taking US ‘Frack Lands’ off the table as a national asset for valuation of the US Dollar.

4. Throw in the pitiful and ludicrous environmental support of the desert turtle and we see that there is plenty of motive and intent behind the Bundy conflict.

5. Harry Reid and son appear to be implicated in a Chinese solar deal that is claiming that cattle grazing is damaging to their impact offsets.

Put all the above together and it appears the motives behind this conflict stink.
