The Bundy Ranch 'public land use for grazing' is part of the area where the oil fracking leases were given. The MAP FROM THE LAND BLM FOR THE LEASES IS AT THE WEBSITE AND IN THE ARTICLE. This not about the 'Desert Tortoise' as claimed, since "BLM were destroying them" last year according to Mike Adams, who wrote the article. A MUST READ for anyone keeping up with BLM and Bundy Ranch Standoff!

There is no reason fracking and grazing can’t co-exist.

That was my first thought. But the BLM isn’t rational. Probably in the course of their dispute with Bundy, they managed to back themselves into some sort of corner.

Tell that to the BLM in Nevada...I have no objection to that.

It is because he did not pay his bills. He does not have the right to use public land for grazing without the fee just because his family did in 1884.

Is there any doubt that our current entire Federal Government is made up of communists criminals and are systematically destroying America by destroying individual Americans. Think, you must retrain your brain to see beyond and between the lines. Logic is currently missing with many Americans.
To: Louis Foxwell
Therein lies the real problem, because now it’s public land, later private land..... that will fall under eminent domain and some agency takes it, so the government gets the money for oil or other natural resources that should go to the owners.

Tuesday for $1.27 million to six different companies. The auction took place in Reno. The leases are near where Houston-based Noble Energy Inc. wants to drill for oil and natural gas on 40,000 acres of public and private land near the town of Wells. Then why the hell are they worried about land near Las Vegas?
Wells, NV is at the junction of US 95 and I-80 (about an hour south of the Idaho/Nevada border on US 95), and is more than 350 miles from Bunkerville, NV, where the Bundy ranch is located.

And how much does Harry Reid get out of this scam?
Is he not the top dumb-o-crat senate representative from Nevada who was elected to stand up for the voters of this state - oh wait reid , dumb-o-crat, money under the table - never mind he’s to busy wheeling and dealing lining his pockets.

Thank you, for showing that auctions do not always take place near the land in question.

I guess no one told Reid there aren’t any U-hauls being towed behind the Hearse, or bank books in the hereafter.

The only way this administration would allow fracking on fed lands is if there was no oil or gas there.

Thank you, for showing that auctions do not always take place near the land in question. The auction took place in Reno (which is a short drive from the state Capital of Carson City). The excerpt specifically mentioned that the land they were interested in drilling was located near Wells, NV. Again, Wells, NV is more than 350 miles from Bundy's land.

Go buy you some cows and see if you can graze on BLM land without paying.

I doubt there is some great conspiracy afoot between the BLM and oil leases, but what they are doing to the Bundys is beyond the pale.
Both sides have made some miscalculations and unless they can arrive at some reasonable accomadation, it could get really hairy down there.
The BLM will push this to the limit. The Bundys won’t back down.

The point is the ‘lie’ by BLM, not whether the leases are usable....the BLM did get the money!
