Stuck on stupid.
Because they like silly slogans?
If you sat down and ate 23 cups of spinach you would never stop eating from morning to night.
And they have a huge amount of quickly-digested sugar.
They have carbohydrates not sugar and while to some people that is a bad thing to real people who live normal lives it is just another part of the triangle you need to provide quick, medium and long burning energy.
If you want to eat a fad diet that is fine. But it is not healthy for every one and just because you don't wish to eat it does not make it deficient in nutrition.
Exactly.
People should eat according to what their requirements are. I have a friend who has to avoid gluten and another who has to avoid potassium. I need about twice the normal amount of salt to stay healthy. A normal salt diet leaves me feeling ill and a low salt one came close to putting me in the hospital.
Eat what is good for YOU and ignore the fanatics.
They have carbohydrates not sugar
A distinction without a difference.
Starch is just chains of glucose molecules, loosely bound together. It starts splitting apart as soon as it comes in contact with saliva, and by the time it hits your intestinal wall, it's just sugar.
The starch in bread or potatoes enters your bloodstream as sugar, and it actually does so faster than if you'd eaten an equivalent amount of calories as table sugar.

I dare you to get that out of an ice-cream sundae. As noted bananas are not that healthy, but the potato proves superior to bananas. It even stacks up well against an apple (a large apple has 31g of carbs):

That said in my house we usually don't serve potatoes and bread in the same meal, unless it is a hamburger or hot-dog bun. Don't diss the spuds, the Irish and the Idahoans will not stand for it.
In the pas, if the district got any federal funding for the “free/reduced” lunch program they had to follow the rules. If they didn’t they were free to serve what they wanted. That was back in 04/05, not sure how much it changed now.
An Attila Hun or some other kind?
Why, Ol’ Attila, of course! LOL!
Out pillaging the village again, dear?
