They always end up crawling to the NTSB or some other Western/Euro agency. We’re the only ones who can do it.

IF they find a black box (huge if)...

Not trying to quibble, but "A" black box or "THE" black box?

How difficult would it be to duplicate the signals if you took enough time prior to the hijack for professional research?

No argument there. They may have planted A black box. BUT, if its found, and obviously a fraud, then it will be pretty much assumed that there’s a larger plot, and someone is trying to hide something. If the black box was never found, then its just assumed the plane was lost at sea.

So if you’re trying to hide a larger plot, what benefit would there be to planting a fake black box? None.

I am picking up pings in my bathroom.

I am hoping they never find the plane in any ocean, and that the passengers are alive and well, perhaps on a tropical Island partying it up with the 911 survivors .

All kidding aside, I would hope for a miracle that would vindicate my good friend Lt. General McInerney, also would be a wonderful miracle for the families if somehow they were unharmed in a hostage taking.

I would also love to see the talking heads look foolish, the ones on cnn etc, so called experts like Miles Obrien, think he fly`s a Cessna

I guess the plane wasn’t sucked up by a black hole or aliens after all.

His statements of 3/19 are inexplicable to me. There was nothing “reasonable” or “certain” about the common debris that was spotted that day. Yet the PM went out of his way to oversell the finding so much that it completely moved the search area to an entirely different area, where it has remained since Abbott’s original announcement (the Immersat data wasn’t produced until five days later). Abbott single handedly brought the search to the South Indian Ocean on the basis of two aerial photos of debris that turned out to be nothing.

And now, miracle of miracles, it turns out he was accidentally correct.

Until I see the plane, I’m not buying it.

Good point. I for one, hope it's down there, aircraft and all. That's one less potential WMD weapon aimed at us or Israel.

Ha ha ha, those foil FDRs were a PITA. The foil was razor sharp.

There is one aircraft in service with such a system even though it’s military. The problem is pre-mature ejection. We have left the data recorders in the Atlantic a few times. The top of the tail is an airfoil that can glide and make a soft landing. You are still faced with a large search area which the actual rest of the bird can be in

The system has been in use since late 60’s.
