Do we really want our inexperienced naive President to go toe to toe with a strong competent experienced and knowledgeable opponent that presides over the current Soviet Union?

Seriously, throughout the whole Cold War war we are always at least one step ahead of the Soviets. The only time I can think of they really showed us up was the last time we had a young inexperienced fresh faced kid as President during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Do we have anyone at any level, CIA, FBI, DoD anywhere that is 1 step ahead of the Russians or the Chinese?

Not our fight, where are the EU troopers? they are the ones that kicked this hornets nest.

No mention of ANY threats whatsoever to ANY NATO country.

It is past time the 0bama regime quit trying to play the role of King Maker across the globe.

Wesley Clark is better at using tanks against women and children, like at Waco.

Good point.

Naw, we just owe Ukraine back their 5000 nukes. Or equivalent value thereof. But since we have no honor, maybe not.

The Obama regime is the one that kicked this hornets best with their feckless foreign policy. This article doesn’t say a thing about going into Ukraine. It says troops will be sent to NATO countries. You know, Poland. Romania. Estonia.

Remember:

Democrat war = good war
Republican war = bad war

In the immortal words of George Washington:

“The great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible. So far as we have already formed engagements, let them be fulfilled with perfect good faith. Here let us stop. Europe has a set of primary interests which to us have none; or a very remote relation. Hence she must be engaged in frequent controversies, the causes of which are essentially foreign to our concerns. Hence, therefore, it must be unwise in us to implicate ourselves by artificial ties in the ordinary vicissitudes of her politics, or the ordinary combinations and collisions of her friendships or enmities. . . . Why quit our own to stand upon foreign ground? Why, by interweaving our destiny with that of any part of Europe, entangle our peace and prosperity in the toils of European ambition, rivalship, interest, humor or caprice?”

Washington’s Farewell Address, September 19, 1796

Actually, the EU was the instigator of the mess in Kiev, 0bama just couldn’t resist the pile-on/

As long as it is EU member NATO troops, not a problem.

Your history is seriously fouled up. The EU didn’t instigate the takeover of the Crimea and the US is the one who talked Ukraine into surrendering its nukes all those years ago in return for a worthless security guarantee. More recently Obama signaled to the world that we were open for pretty much any aggressive move they wanted to undertake. Blame where blame is due. The buck stops at the White House.

Uh, no, not Crimea, Ukraine! EU factions backed and paid for the takeover of Kiev and the country of Ukraine, the whole area is infested with corrupt officials and politicians.

The nukes were taken (started under George Bush IIRC) because it was certain Ukraine had no way to safeguard them and they would have ended up on the black market, sold to the highest bidder.

Ukraine wanted to be recognized as a sovereign independent country, and this was the deal for that to happen.

As witnessed by the events in Ukraine over the last 3 years, this was a VERY wise decision.

The EU took over Ukraine? Laughable. You don’t think the people of Western Ukraaine might have decided on their own they would rather throw in their lot with the EU than Russia?

Laughable is your blindness to the forces that put this seizure of power in motion.

The thugs in the street were not freedom fighters, they were rent a thugs paid to be there.

There is no push by those who seized Ukraine to make the country open and democratic, they want power, control and money, just like the 2 previous administrations.

The new self appointed president is threatening today to use lethal force to break the current demonstrations. This is exactly what Maiden claimed the previous administration did.
