Violent crime in Murrysville (up til now) has been significantly, and not surprisingly, lower than the average for Pennsylvania.
this is the sort of thing it would be more likely to hear out of Wilkinsburg HS, or Rankin or even Gateway HS just up the road. Franklin is shocking to me.
WTAE kept the boy, Ritchie, on the phone. He’s a senior, he drives to school. They can’t clear the parking lots yet. He gave great description of inside of bldg. Some crying, but most kids settled down. A lot of police in bldg. Swept the HS bldg twice.

So the “knifer” was captured. Good. At least for now he won’t be counted as one of the victims of his savage attack.

FNC is saying one of the female victims pulled the fire alarm.
That was my thoughts as well. When the shooting happened outside Brashear HS, I KNEW that (knowing that area/population) that it would be drug/gang related.
Franklin Regional just stuns me too. My son (a jr at a neighboring SD) plays soccer w/boys from FR) goes to a similar “good” school. He has texted me twice. News has spread. He was asking if they have given names. He (we) scared for friends there.

Thanks. Carol Costello (who has had a comment abot Riush Limbaugh in the past), is being extra annoying over this issue today. She talks like she is whining normally, but she keeps going on “WHY does this keep happening,” or words to that effect.
GREAT NEWS from Forbes Regional Hospital Trauma Unit (Monroeville PA) 8 transported there. Four have “life threatening” injuries, two in surgery now, but ALL expected to survive.
Stories of students rushing to aid injured, had presence of mind to apply pressure. Lives saved til 1st responders arrived. All injuries stab wounds to torso/back. Penetrating wounds.

No updates from PGH hospitals as of yet.
