I was desperate for a cup of coffee while driving through Elgin, IL a few years ago on a sunday and stopped by a McDonalds. Inside the crouded restaurant, except for me and an elderly couple eating regular burgers, every single person on BOTH sides of the counter was hispanic. And Spanish is all I heard.
For those not aware, this is a Chicago suburb.
