The website said that he agreed to wear a wire tap during conversations with Mob bosses, including leading members of the Genovese crime family, the largest and most feared Mafia outfit in the United States. People don't willingly wear a wire into a mob hangout... my guess is the FBI had something big on him... That said, you're right - no one's as popular in a black community as a royal snitch. I suspect old Sharpton's going to be moving into an all white neighborhood soon. Or changing his name...
