I don’t know if God’s on Russia’s side, but I wouldn’t doubt He’s about to abandon ours (if He hasn’t already). Godlessness, atheism, abortion, homosexual marriage, slothfulness, Marxism, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc being forced on a nation top down by its government against the will of the people would be enough for anyone to abandon it.

Russia killed fifty million or so, under Stalin. If I have that right.

With birth control, abortifacients and abortion, we’re up to, with obstruction of conceptions, killing babies before theyre implanted and reported surgical and chemical abortions, at hundreds of millions, hundreds of millions and fifty three million, respectively.

That’s just the beginning of the story. The destruction of the family, romance, sexual identity, marriage is the beginning of the continuation of the story.

Either we pull our head out or we are certainly not going to get on God’s side. And no, we are not on God’s side. NO

I agree with Pat and if I had a gun to my head and I had to follow either the foreigner Putin or the foreigner Obama, I would follow PUTIN.

People scream about “Putin fan-boy” etc. etc. but they seldom make actual points.

Even people who aren’t strongly religious can easily see the USA is lead by a man who clearly detests Christianity.

He went to a whacko Black Supremacist church for, what?

15 years?

We, individually and corporately are called upon to repent and believe. Has Russia repented? Or are their goals and aspirations the same as before?

Have the Russians changed? I have not heard of the tyrannous rule of the old USSR going on now. I do know Christianity is now permitted where once it was forbidden. I read that they are the only nation protecting the ancient Syrian Christian population, while the US steadfastly refuses. In fact the WH is talking about training and arming the Christian’s persecutors. And I wonder.

Is it still a communist country? Personally, I consider present day Russia to be my, and my country’s adversary.

A lot of strange things are going on in this world, and understanding it all is well above my pay grade.

God isn’t on anyone’s “side”. The question is whether we are on God’s side.

As a nation "we" are embracing abortion, sodomy, adultery, blasphemy, disrespect of parents, covetousness, and theft. These things are embraced both in government policy and popular culture.

No, America is not on God's side. America has turned against God ... We are most desperately in need of repentance.

The question has never been whose side God is on....The question is, who is on God’s side?

God does not change his mind, men do.

God should be on Poland’s side, before Russia’s.

Poland is still by far the most Christian nation in Europe.

And yet he sinned. That was a pretty mickey mouse move on his part with the daughter (even if she had begged him to do it).

Salvation is by grace through faith and can not produce a perfect performance in this mortal coil.

What has Putin embraced of Christ? How has Putin yet sinned?

When God lets sinners sin, that doesn’t equate to His being on the sinners’ side.

The entire appeal of Pat Buchanan, in his day, was that he sounded much like Ron Paul... before Ron Paul sounded like Ron Paul. Just sayin’.

I won’t argue with that (and you’ll note that I said nothing of Russia) ... other than to say it’s not a matter of whether God is on America’s ... or Poland’s ... or Russia’s side, but whether any of them are on God’s side. I’m American ... I’m interested in whether or not America is on God’s side. At the moment, we’re not ... and we need desperately to change that.

Everybody is estranged from God in some manner, and nobody can boast.

The pertinent question is, who has embraced salvation.

God is on Gods side. It is up to us to get right with him and not the other way around.

The official count from the last time I checked (about 10 years ago) is around 20 million under Stalin, 5 million under Lenin. But no doubt these are underestimates. Likely it’s double that. The manner in which they were killed is not pretty, either. Entrepreneurs, land owners, employers, were all labeled “Kulaks” by the state, and summarily deported. That doesn’t sound so bad until you realize where they were deported to. By order of Lenin, to the most inhospitable regions of Russia. Out in the wilderness, in other words, to be victims of starvation or the elements. Most of them, however, were just people that the Chekas didn’t like, and they didn’t like anyone. Many were cocaine addicts to desensitize themselves to the atrocities they were committing. So you have to add torture, forced starvation (lots and lots of it under Stalin), executions of strikers, burning of towns, burning of whole forests when the townspeople fled there, military crack downs, work camps (lots), and outright death camps. The Nazis actually used the Soviet camp system as a model for their own death camps.

I don’t know who said it, but I could believe it, that we will be ruled by God, or we will be ruled by tyrants. God is the safer choice.

“God isn’t on anyone’s “side”. The question is whether we are on God’s side.”

And the answer to that is NO!

For Russia, probably YES.

God isn’t on Russia’s side and America is in large part no longer on God’s side.
